The Sunday Vlog returns - socially distanced. My church is still not meeting in person due to COVID-19, so we film the worship service ahead of time and then premiere it on Facebook and KZbin. Here's a behind the scenes look.

My church just got back to regular services yesterday and it was great... but before then we streamed services for about 3 months... then in mid May we switched to two services... which was good but we got tired a lot 😆

My church is located in Missouri. Out here, we were never required to wear masks, but we did shut down until the middle of June. We ran live feeds on KZbin and Facebook. This made our prayers services that we have on Thursday nights special. We had people from around the county and nation commenting with prayer requests and holding watch parties. Since we have opened back up, we’ve had around half a dozen families who have came to church due to our live services. Strange and cool times that we live in.

Jealous of ya'lls equipment. (But not really) In my little church I'm still using a POD HD500 and a Yamaha Pacifica 604W. Amazingly enough it works for what we do and the congregation we have. Thinking of moving to a Helix LT or something though, I just have a hard time laying out the cash for even that. Ever tried the Ampero? Seems to be the possibly viable poor man's option. At one time I was running a Peavey JSX 120 watt head with a Peavey Classic 4x12, lol. It sounded pretty good but when we moved into our new facility years ago, the church wanted a clean stage. Anyhow, I really appreciate the tutorials you guys do. Keep it up please.

Hi Rob! I don’t know if you’ve looked into it, but I bought a PodGo recently, and it was about 486 and some change after taxes, and it’s been doing a really great job as far as being able to dial in really great sounds (obviously bought a few of the WT patches, hahah). It’s served me really well and was a big upgrade after using cab sims like the Tech21 when I lead worship from 2016-2019. Might be something to look into!! Blessings- Erick

@@erickdelgado3259 Thanks Eric. Forgot about the PodGo. It lacks a low impedance output I think. Not sure if I'd need some kind of direct box for it?

Rob N. If I remember correctly, one of the creators at Line 6, Eric Klein, wrote that the outputs are balanced/unbalanced and you can go direct to FOH with 1/4 inch TRS to XLR M cables. Hope that helps!

Not sure if you're familiar with Chris Rocha (Latin/American Producer and Musician for Worship Bands) but he recently came out with a new present for the PODHD500 and others as well such as the GT100, Firehawk. Should definitely check him out, has killer tones!

We use Sony FS7’s primarily because they can see in the dark and we don’t run our lights bright. If you run brighter, you should check out the URSA Broadcast camera. Killer live camera for the money but not great in low light.

Yeah - in NC. From what I can understand from the way it was written, "If there is a possibility you will come within 6 feet of someone else" we are required to. The way I interpreted it is if you are in a place where the 6 ft social distance protocol will be adhered to, you don't have to wear one, but otherwise you do. It's wise in my opinion.

It's interesting, though - churches weren't specifically mentioned in the Governor's messaging. I think you could assume that they would be included in 'public places', though.
