I am so glad that you are taking us to 'Siddi land'. I first came across them performing at a Mela in London and was surprised like many people of their connection to India. I also visited them in their village in Gujarat and found that they suffered immense prejudice because of their colour and religion. Many rely on their dance & music skills to earn a living. It is great you are giving us an insight into the complex diversity of India and understanding the rich history.

I can’t thank you enough for making this episode. I read about the Siddis when studying the Maratha history and always wondered where did their descendants settle. Not all came as slaves though, Siddis occupied a part of Konkan with Janjira as their primary base. Some like Siddi Halal served under Shivaji Maharaj and his son Siddi Wahab died when trying to break the siege of Panhala. Thank You again keep up the good work. It’s important for people to understand we are all one irrespective of our differences. ❤❤❤
