Perfect lovecraftian music: It catches all aspects, hopeles atmosphere, overwhelming, mysterious, hectic and otherworldly. Impending doom over us all, strange chaos and calm cosmos... Hostile and intriguing alien deities and their will casted upon us. And us... facing... them... ALL

Phenomenal soundtrack. The tune in 10:55 really sets the scene for this derelict, abandoned civilization. Nobody's left, there's no help, no hope... Eshe is completely alone.

Loved this so much, I REEAALLY love when games dynamically change the music to suit the mood like you did with the boss tracks! The progressive chanting of Dominion, the thunderous slam + footsteps of Hysteria and the final moments of Splice really resonate with me. I even find myself humming the game's theme every now and again. Keep up the marvelous work.

@@MaxLLMusic Friend, your work for Sundered is so good that I still listen to it today. Your only crime is that you did not create looping versions of them for us to enjoy further! :p I joke but I really wish that the final part of Dominion had like 5 repetitions because of how powerful it is. Then again, the hectic rythm it has, might just give someone a heart attack. xD

I can congratulate you! , you were able to convey the beautiful and very dreary atmosphere of the once prosperous race, which came to an end. and also a very creepy atmosphere just like from darkwood. I have to say Max, this work of yours is touched me. Insanely, i can't listen Dominion's theme enough. It gave me so many ideas for drawings, story wirtings, sketching. I have to say this game became one of my favourite games of all time. The music was progressively intense. I keep finding myself headbanging to it everytime my playlist pop one up, even made an extended version of Dominion soundtrack just for myself by mixing Humanity's scream at the last segment. I wrote a review for Sundered saying that music was a PRO, although I said it wasn't the game's strongest feature. Then I came here...and I deleted my review. I'll write a new one after I finish the last 10% of the game, but for now I'll leave this here. So you can know that I don't think this is good...I definitely think this is great and I sure as hell didn't pay enough atention while playing. Amazing!

Balancing music and sound effects was quite a challenge for this game. So many things are happening at once and it often leaves less sonic space for the music. This is why the soundtrack is more on the subtle side through the in-game experience but I always try to make the stand-alone listening experience (away from the game) as enjoyable as I can when I make the final album. Glad you liked it!
@dropelaves6 жыл бұрын
@@MaxLLMusic That actually pretty insteresting to know, never thought about it that way. It seems obvious now that you've said it, really cool, thanks! I would also add what was my previous explanation, which is that having so many things happening relentlessly (to the point where you can barely look at the map sometimes) you "tunnel" on what's happening regarding combat and kinda lose track on your hearing. Like going into auto-pilot mode, sort of. Anyway, I've shared this with a few friends of mine and advised people to come here and check on your page (even before I saw that you had answered, I will add). It's really impressive, kind of reminded me of Grim Dawn's OST at times as they also have that grim (no pun intended) element to it (5:25 for example). Anyway, I'm just kind of rambling by now. Really appreciate what you did here!

Max LL, if you see this comment, I am incredibly curious how you managed to make or capture the "gong" sound. It doesn't sound like a gong, per se, but rather a colossal drum hooked up to some crunchy, resonant amplifier.
