Still more players to come back which should hopefully do the trick but I guess it's another point, if someone told me that towards the end of November that Sunderland will be on nine wins, six draws and 2 losses then I would have snapped your hand off. Onwards and upwards, Sheffield Utd is going to be a difficult game but they won't walk all over us like they did tonight against Oxford Utd.

I think in recent games, draws were probably fair, e.g. Milwall deserved a point. But tonight on the balances of play/chances created, I thought we thoroughly deserved 3pts.

I watched the game over breakfast (Australia) and Sunderland should have won and looked more dangerous, but there is a long way to go and plenty of points to play for. Your comments are always fair and sensible.

Better to have a dip in form this side of Christmas. Frustrating but then again we would have probably lost three of the last five, last season. Clean sheet and the top of the league remains incredibly tight. A win on Friday would be great. December could provide the chance of a winning streak after several games where either injury or suspension has undermined the team.

Fair play to WBA, they came for a point and got it, but we looked really poor and really pedestrian. Other than the disallowed goal we never looked like breaking them down.

It's Sunderland at the SOL so referees do not want to appear intimidated by the big crowd and I could hear on the radio of their goalie and his antics Gary Bennett just seemed bemused but resigned to how pathetic also inconsistent the referee are in this division. . I was surprised that O'nien was subbed off when he was playing well. We really could do with a proper extra left back with Cirkin's injuries of the past, where we need to rotate. Meyenda looked really sharp and scared the life out their defence when he came on, much more so than Watson. Perhaps they could put Mayenda and Isidor closer together to help use each other's pace better. I don't want to bury the kid, but Watson looked a bit headless out there, like a Duncan Watmore without the ability to get the ball through. Still, these are frustrations, rather than a major issue at the club and things to work on with RLB at the healm, which I'm sure he'll know already.

Unless we beat Sheffield United which is a huge ask and very unlikely unfortunately then top 2 is definitely gone, the wheels have definitely come off, in terms of effort we got it for near enough a full 90 which is better than recent games but unfortunately we were pretty toothless and clueless, to me it looks like we've run out of ideas, aside from the disallowed goal and the Roberts and Rigg chances we didn't do enough in the final third which is very frustrating and disappointing, again I think Le Bris has to be questioned for team selection and subs, firstly why was Connolly on the bench if he wasn't gonna bring him on, if he's not fit then why's he on the bench, also why was Mayenda dropped when he had a really good game against Millwall and Watson starts, I don't want to go in hard on the lad but for me Watson isn't ready yet, apart from winning a few free kicks and winning that 1 corner after that run from the short corner what did the lad actually do other than constantly shoot straight at a West Brom player, aside from Hume, Mepham and Ballard who were all excellent BTW, everybody else just seemed off it, Roberts was poor, even Jobe who's been brilliant this season was below par tonight, yes u can take the positives of 10 games unbeaten, clean sheet and still unbeaten at home but honestly right now I would rather no clean clean sheets between now and January if we started to win games on a regular basis cos right now we don't look like winning games of football, we're either not at it or we play well for 1 half and then fall to pieces, yeah we didn't fall to pieces tonight but we didn't really get going either, very frustrated and disappointed, this would've been a good point had we won the Preston, Coventry and Millwall games but unfortunately all we're doing now is putting more pressure on ourselves for the harder games
@robalexander80654 күн бұрын
The top two is still achievable. There are still 87 points to play for. A lot can happen in six months.
@ThaneME24 күн бұрын
@robalexander8065 I'm starting to really doubt that now, we've done really well so far but we've over achieved massively and put it this way teams that get top 2 don't go 5 games without a win, when the likes of Sheffield United, Leeds and Burnley had a blip it's usually 1 or 2 games and then they get a few wins together, we can't seem to do that now, after the oxford game we were 5 clear at the top, come the end of the week and we could be 4th or 5th, I hope I'm wrong and I really hope I get a surprise and we somehow beat Sheffield United and get back on track but at the moment I can't see, we don't look like losing games at the moment which is good, 10 unbeaten but we don't look like winning at the moment either
@Adam-sd2ow3 күн бұрын
If Leeds, Sheffield Utd and Burnley go up. I honestly feel football is a bit dead. It's so dull at this point and the premier League isn't any better with the same old teams being at the top there too. Parachute payments and relegations forever is just not fun.
@ThaneME23 күн бұрын
@@Adam-sd2ow I'd still rather be in the prem than the championship, this club should be a top 10 side, even if we went up and came down we'd be in a better financial situation because of the parachute payments
