Cannot use injuries as a reason as Sunderland are missing so many players too and don't have the parachute payments to buy a squad. Soooooo, perhaps of Sheffield United just weren't good enough?

One point from a possible nine. Kieffer Moore had his weak penalty shot easily saved as Sunderland were gifted a promotion boost after host of Sheffield United errors. Fans a joke again. Give it the usual players need to give us something to get behind as an excuse for not singing when we should be doing that all game regardlessof result or performance. We're in the top 3 still after all. Booing players who you don't want to stay on is laughable aswell regardless of their performance and it just affects players even more. Can't wait to be sat next to 10k other true fans whilst 18k don't bother in the cup game and you wonder why our support's the way it is. Players made horrendous decisions today and the goals came from individual mistakes from lots of players not just one but they're struggling for fitness clearly and we need reinforcements asap. Sunderland were the better side overall at the Lane and we didn't threaten them enough tonight. It is what it is but we're still in a good position in the league. UTB ⚔️🔴.
