Bro I appreciate your videos on our whips so much. I got a 2013 300C with the HEMI and I’ve spent/wasted thousands on sound systems and still messin with it. It’s SO HARD to get all the bass from these trunks. I got two DC level 4 12s in a ported box I had custom built to fire forward with seats folded down (when I’m playing loud which is always), component speakers in front with separate tweeters and upgraded 3.5s in front dash. I’m running a skar 1k for the mids/highs, a skar rp4500 for the subs and a metra dash kit for my second touchscreen which controls the music on my kenwood. Bitch sounds great now / all on factory wiring and single battery hahaha. I just found your big 3 video and I’m going to tackle that this weekend, but shockingly I’ve made it a year like this - praise Jesus, lol. I don’t come close to clipping anything and I keep the gain turned down but it’s still plenty for now. Going straight to 2/0 or bigger on the upgraded wiring and a second battery asap.

Maaaan, I truly appreciate the support. I haven't uploaded recently because I've been so busy with life, lol...but I'm getting back into it, so bare with me. That setup sounds something serious. Have you tried different firing box positions....like firing towards trunk, or up, or just firing into the cabin? When I built the fourth order firing in, I was happy, but wasn't blown away...UNTIL I sealed it off from the trunk....maaaaaan, it's a different feel...but if u want that low low hurt and hear u a mile away bass, fire subs towards trunk and pull the box close as possible towards the trunk, and let seats down....and as far as the big 3, Definitely do it.

Turn the box around to keep the sound in the cab. Saves all the rattle noise.
@DaVerseOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Facts...I did that a long time ago and sealed it off from the trunk....BANGS THE HARDEST WITH A 4TH ORDER...lol, but not with a traditional ported box. Built 2 more boxes since this build and have been trial and erroring back and forth with speaker direction.

@@DaVerseOfficial I dont mind building the box. I built the one I currently have but it looks like I turned it too low and I have a hard time getting a higher note. Thats why I started looking into bandpass..

@Pat 4th order will give you a wider bandwidth, and a vented/ported box will give you a harder hit at your desired frequency depending on what you tune your box at.

I listen to a lot of metal/rock and Hip hop. How does metal and rock sound in a 4th order? I have a x12v3 and about to buy a new box. Right now i have a regular ported box. Nice car BTW
@DaVerseOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Depending on how it's tuned, for your genre, a 4th order is perfect...it has a wider bandwidth so it plays everything....the thing with a ported box is that it's peak performance is mostly where ever the box tune is set at...but I love 4th order because it brought out bass that I didn't hear in a traditional ported box...like the mid to highs.

Gotta hit it hard for it to break in having the gain that low gonna make it take wayyyy longer to break in I pound on my subs out the box maybe full tilt only 2 times for the first 4 weeks after that straight pound

I've done that on my other x series before and was smelling the voice coils so I backed up on the gain. So with this one, I started slow, and when I banged it hard doing bass sweeps, same voice coil smell. Their breaking in, but I just feel like I shouldn't be smelling the voice coils at barely 500-600 watts, when these subs are rated at 1,500 watts rms. Thanks for the advice, I'm all ears for help💯🤝🏾

i have some pretty good speakers hooked up to my mac home computer and it was rattling my shelves when you had it going man,sounded good,clean bass,i have a spare x12 i was thinking about building a bandpass for it,but right now im in love with my nsv4 18 haha damn it hits lows,rattles your eye balls for real,so a pinched nerve huh man,your not going to believe this but oh well,i worked manual labor my whole life,in 98 i blew L4 & L5 in back,then 2001 i blew c4 & c5 in neck at a different job,then in 2006 i blew every disc in neck,2015 worse one i think.. i blew L3 in my back omg it hurt bad,so im basically screwed i can do stuff but i hurt afterwards.i get pinched nerves a lot and what i do is put on a icey hot patch take some meds and go outside and just move around as much as i can and it works it out,i know every ones different but hell try it dude.good luck,pain sucks ass,later bass head.

I appreciate it, and the NSV4 does slam the lows hecka good due to the hardware and technology...and yea, my phone mic is pretty good picking up the true bass as it would sound in person. And yeah, the pinched nerve is no joke to mess with, but everything is so far so good, just taking it easy when I'm working not to bring it back. Sorry to hear about all of your injuries, but I'm glad your still moving around...what do u have the nsv4 in?

Also what’s the voltage reading now with the music banging
@DaVerseOfficial3 жыл бұрын
With it banging after the big 3, it stays between 14.5 to 14.7, and that's off the factory alternator. Need to invest in a HOA.
@HIGHROLLAZAUTOCLUB3 жыл бұрын
@@DaVerseOfficial that’s still good cause I know the factory alternator idles at like 14v. Careful where you order your custom alternator because our cars has a built in regulator in the pcm so you will get some problems when hooking up like low voltage.

@@HIGHROLLAZAUTOCLUB I was wanting to get a mechman alternator...trying to figure out what size to go with...also do u know what the factory alternator is for a 2018 chrysler 300s...amp wise?
@HIGHROLLAZAUTOCLUB3 жыл бұрын
@@DaVerseOfficial I think it’s a 160 I believe. I have the 320 Mechman alternator but that shit gave me list of trouble to foo out in my 300. When you put it in, the car idles below 12v at times. I had to be reving the car up at a higher idle to get 14v out of it. Low idle can take a heavy load on it, when there is a heavy load it will blow the rectifier in the alternator. I had to get a guy to do that test and that how I found out. So he changed it when he blew it on his table test and also changed the pulley to even a smaller one that came with it. I tried it now and it works good. Car idles at 13.5v and cold starts at 14.5v. I would say try mike singer’s alternator. He knows about the problems with the 300’s and the built in regulator in the pcm in our cars. Mechman alternators put out the numbers at high idles not at low idle with a heavy load.

Question for you how do you keep your speakers from hissing when there is no volume.
@DaVerseOfficial3 жыл бұрын
It could be 3 things depending on your setup...1 - your line out convertor, 2 - the 3v or 5v setting on it, or 3 - your RCAs are too close to the battery + wire. If you Rev your engine and the wine gets louder its reason number 3, if you Rev it and it doesn't then it's reason 1 or 2. Hope this helps👍🏾

@@williejones8977 did you use a dd-1 to tune your amp and head unit?...you want to make sure you don't have distortion, and sometimes when your gain is set to high it could cause it, but just try to make sure your RCAs aren't running in the same path as the positive wire.

bro you don’t gotta break subs in the smell not bad it’s just glue getting hot on spider
@DaVerseOfficial2 жыл бұрын
You don't if their cheaper, or aren't putting that much power to them at higher volume levels, or if you want premature wear and tear. Certain subwoofers may not require it because their spiders aren't so stiff, but in my case and application, my gain on my AmpPro for my factory integration was turned all of the way up After I disconnected the battery for 3 hours during install, and when hooked back up, it reset the AmpPro, so my gain was basically doubled. But thanks for info 💯🤝🏾
