I make stained glass and I wish I would've thought of making something like this with my mother. I'll bet she would've loved to have had a project like this to make. This is something fun you could do with an elderly parent.

What about the edges Nancy do you tile these?

Nope. The board is only a quarter inch thick. The black grout will stain the edges black. Can paint the edge too if you want

Thank you Nancy that’s what I was having trouble with the narrow edges and cutting tiles to fit. If you use paint can you just use acrylic or does it need to be oil based?

I try to cut up the old towels into smaller sections. B/ C after use with grout I trash them

@@mosaicsgardenbynancykeating Hi Nancy yes I have but I usually tile all my edges which is a pain with narrow .5 cm . Rubbing in the grout like you did looks so much easier. Thank you
