I love the fact that her voice is so perfectly simple. You don’t need to be a great singer with all the adlibs and runs to show emotion or get to the listener. I liked the song when the movie came out because I related to Sierra on being the bullied, "ugly" fat girl in school. A few years later, I was diagnosed with ASD, which cultural symbol is a sunflower. When I was young I used to go to a music camp where every year the camp director would tell us a story. I think now that I'm older understand the full meaning of it so I'm going to share it with you. "Once upon a time there was a plum. He didn't like being a plum because he was surrounded by many bananas who picked on him for being different. So he tried to become a banana. Someone at my church often tells a story about a boy with a quite of similar message: There is this one boy at class, (I don't know his name anymore), and this one boy is a little small. Also he isn't good at making new friends, he is more of a shy guy, a person you would probably think " what a strange guy" when you would see him. This boy trys and trys to become better in what he does but it doesn't seem to work. He is sad because he would like to be like the other boys but he doesn't seem to be good at anything.
