You videos always end to soon !!! I got married in 1974 being young and just starting a home, of course you bring me such joy with all your videos!I watch you every week and my heart just wanders my husband had heart surgery eight years ago, due to a brain injury the man I brought home from the hospital is not the man I married. Our 50th anniversary is coming up in August and I’m so very thankful for having these years with him. We have two wonderful sons and eight beautiful grandchildren. The Lord has blessed me greatly. Some times we don’t know the impact we really have on others, now I’ve told you this because I want you to know how much your videos mean to me. You are truly a blessing to me and I know if Jesus could be proud he’s very proud of you!!

Thank you for saying that Nancy, it's funny that I should read this from you today of all days. My sweet mother-in-law is dealing with something very similar and I am quite worried about her. I know all things happen for a reason and for the glory of God so I am not questioning it I am just waiting to see what happens. Thank you for sharing your story about your husband. When I tell you that I am so glad to hear that you had many more years left with your husband I want you to know that it resonates hope that my mother in law will get to do the same. Big hugs to your both.

You sure got the 1970s right with this table setting, it looks like table settings when I was in my early college years. I love the trip back in time, I really felt like I was there again ! Great work, Becky. 🧡💚💛🤎 My mother-in-law to be had those exact sunflower plates, the Corelle, and the heavy amber glasses. A centerpiece with a candle on each side was also what she had, and the salt & peppers were whatever the family liked, so the horses would fit in. 🐴 They had real horses at the 'Ullman Place' ranch they rented at the time for the 2 horses the kids had and had little ceramic horses like these on the dining room dividers which were very popular in older homes. She had Harvest Gold appliances. My mom had a nubby brown woven tablecloth with rust and gold in it, and a heavy, earthy, pottery matte stoneware table setting in mushroom beige with a brown stripe around the rim. She had heavy Viking crystal goblets in orange. She had brown beehive shaped salt and peppers, and a large beautiful dried flower basket with some spiky seed pods too. My mom had a framed painting of a mushroom on the kitchen wall that my best friend made for her and some faux rubbery mushrooms in a bowl. 🍄

@@MyLittleVintageHome 💖 I do. She just passed on recently, she would have been 97 in July. Her love of decorating lives in me, my daughter and granddaughter. My granddaughter invited us to see her room with her little tea set on a low table- at 2 years old. Lol. 4 generations at the party. ☕☕☕☕🧁🧁🧁🧁

Oh boy, does this tablescape bring back memories?! I was married in 1976 & those colors were definitely in everything we received for wedding presents. My mother-In-law used the same Corelle patterned dishes for the rest of her life! I will say, back then, we only “set the table” for dinner time and didn’t leave the place settings, etc. out on the table in between meals. We usually had a tablecloth with a centerpiece on the table throughout the day and added placemats & dinnerware to that when setting the table so the tablecloth wouldn’t get soiled. The word “tablescape” is relatively new, as far as I can remember. It’s interesting how things change! I still use a tablecloth and centerpiece on my dining table! This was a fun video to watch for sure! Debby

Becky, This tablescape is so cheerful! I think the masterpiece is the backdrop of the sunflower tablecloth,it brings everything together! The brown placemats and chargers make the dishes pop,it is a perfect balance of dark and light.I like the corelle plates, the trim is a pretty accent to the sunflower plates. Both centerpieces are pretty, but when I saw your tray and how you incorporated amber glass on it,that was beautiful!!! Becky, this is, I think, the most gorgeous tablescape you have done! I like the border on the Corelle plates that frame the small sunflower plates. And I liked that you used the big plates and chargers on the end. The flowers in the fondue pot are perfect, because they look like you just went into a meadow and grabbed a handful of flowers! And you are right; those glasses are the best finishing touch. Love, love, love all of this put together on that gorgeous tablecloth. ❤

The tablecloth is gorgeous and the beautiful Correlle dishes go wonderful with the smaller sunflower dishes, and I love the bigger sunflower dishes on the end with the charger, but you have a couple different options which is great! The photos that you showed for examples are just awesome, the 70s were incredible! What a great idea to use your fondue pot as the centerpiece, that is so sweet, and your greenery is perfect! I understand totally about your tier tray, I love it, it's beautiful and I would have a hard time not displaying it too and you are right, the horse salt and pepper shakers scream 70s for sure! Hi Becky. I think you nailed the 70’s theme with the tablecloth, dishes, fondue pot and your other pots. I lived the 70’s as a young adult and for a long time I couldn’t stand the business of those colours. But lately, I have come around to appreciating their impact. The only thing I would change would be to leave out the greenery (I find it is not the right shade for that period) and put some orange or yellow fruit or maybe some avocados as a centrepiece. 🤷🏼♀️. A fun thing to do would be to set each place setting with a different set of dishes because you have so many gorgeous ones to choose from. I would love to see that. Also, they used to put hot pads out for all the pots. Enjoy your well deserved trip, hope everything is fun and the weather is pleasant, hugs.
