As someone who's first game was Star Fox 64 and who loves the series, this is really cool. I actually went into this not expecting much of anything. The reason why so many .exe games are bad is because they forget the "Game" part. This one didn't and that added to the experience.

For as well as this game was made, that one scene at 6:30 reminded me of the bird easter egg. For those who don't remember, basically if you go into the asteroid field level and shoot the right giant asteroid correctly, a giant birdlike creature will spawn. If you fly into it, it transports you back to the map screen and into a void called "out of this dimension". I feel like this scene kinda reenacted how scary that could be in an exe game especially seeing something like it for the first time.

StarFox.exe is a really interesting individual. Unlike most clichéd .exe demons like Sonic.exe who just want to cause trouble for the hell of it, I think StarFox.exe just preffers to mind his own business. He does not seem that upset about being trapped in the game and working for Mr. Johnson (whoever that person was). He may be evil, but no THAT evil, because he is initially not interested in murdering the player, and gives them plenty of opportunities to stop playing the game, even when he is freed to do whatever he pleases. It's only when the player gets really persistent that StarFox.exe goes for the kill.

Theory Possibly this game was about fox's depression possibly due to the death of his father and he doesn't get over it for what (this ends much worse) Theory 2: Star fox got an obsessive affection for the creator

Although it is a bit boring and the jumpscares are very predictable, it was actually well made. Take a look at the final jumpscare as an example, It looks so much more different than the general quality of the game. The game slowly being more creepier is kind of cool but like I said it does get boring, especially in the parts where there's only dialogue. Still like it though

Making a Star Fox exe requires work, the effort to emulate the original game is noticeable, also for not respecting the original 15fps and bringing us a smooth 60, a native PC Port of the original game would be interesting.
