Blue light = Active Balancer on entire time. Green Light = Active balancer on only when voltage of battery is high (13.4v or greater). NO light = active balancer off.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification.

Why even offer an always on option? Hasn’t there been enough testing to prove it doesn’t work?
@sfkenergy10 ай бұрын
It works perfectly fine on grade A cells that don't suffer from random Self Discharge rates (which grade B do). The day Andy finally decides to test with grade A cells he will change his opinion of it. V5 was created specifically to end this myth, people can now try it themself and see what is best. In our opinion keeping on all the time is best for normal use (running A/C, coffee pots) and green mode is best if you typically draw under 20 amps. But regardless you can now choose what you like best 😄@@ericklein5097

Those are very good terminals. Huge surface area for high amp loads.

Great review of the Sun Fun Kits battery. I've had mine for almost 2 years. Still running like a champ. 👍 Thanks Brad 😊

Thanks! Yeah great batteries. I also have one that is about two years old. I need to revisit it, has a lot of cycles on it.

SFK has always made really good kits. EVE let them down with some cells that weren't as good as they should be, but that has obviously been resolved now. The REPT cells they also carry have a good reputation as well. I will soon be ordering and trying out their 24v kit using the EVE 105ah cells.
@BradCagle10 ай бұрын
Yup that's exactly what I gathered. Honestly I'm a fan of the REPT cells, they've been nothing short of stellar, just don't have the name recognition of EVE. Thanks!

Wow v5 huh cool!

you popped the top off, but didn't talk about or show the bus bars, some don't like flat busbars and want to see ones that have room for cells to expand bendy room in the middle, some want to be able to service the cells, not having them all welded down, but maybe they are all welded, just wondering since i didn't get to see those points.

Ahh, good point. I'll see if I can get some pics. Thanks!

High end product, now they just have to find that market 🤔
@BradCagle10 ай бұрын
I think they've been doing pretty good. It's really smack in the middle of the the most expensive, and most cheap brands.

A lot of energy in a small box. Amazing

I really like your battery tests and way of communicating. You should have much bigger audience in KZbin!

Thanks! I'm working on it, we grew 600% this last year, so hopefully the keeps going.

Would love to see these with multiple batteries setup in series and parallel to see how the Bluetooth compares on individual batteries? Love the Bluetooth function!
@BradCagle10 ай бұрын
I've been running two of their SFK-300HP's in series in my garage(man cave) for quite some time. If you use a dedicated table, you can run their app to monitor multiple batteries at the same time. Thanks!
@ramfanweber63210 ай бұрын
I think it’s a great way to monitor your batteries! I am using a 24v system at my camp 2 12 v thinking of adding 2 more, I have not seen a way to monitor individual batteries before!

Hey I bought that impinvt 60A charge controller. Is it normal for it to say: Fault Prompt, battery over discharge? It says this when it gets to 12.4V, which is what I have the UV protection setting at. Just thought it’s weird to give a fault, when that is what I wanted
@BradCagle10 ай бұрын
I mean technically that's correct. Under voltage protection, it went to protect mode.. You should be good. Thanks!

Great review and battery. I recently bought some 304 amp hour cells from them that I plan to use in the Licitti box.
@BradCagle10 ай бұрын
Nice! The gen 1 box? I need to do that. Thanks
@johnperry596010 ай бұрын
@@BradCagle yes, the Gen 1 box, I contacted Mike at Licitti and asked him if they would fit he said that they would and sent me a PDF file with directions to put it together with a bms. He also told me that they actually sell 280 amp sells for it. I had originally bought the cells to build a separate battery because I was hoping the talent cell battery would come back in stock but it hasn't

What is the price? It like putting a add on Craigslist with no price. Means it's probably more than one is willing to pay for it.
