The wavy thing on the katana is a "Hamon". The Hamon is the demarcation line from the clay hardening process during a "water" quench. Giving the sword the ability to flex. "Against the Mongolian armor:" the Hamons brilliants can be brightened using the a isuya stone in the Hadori method. The Isuya is a chip off the uchagamori stone, witch is the final polishing procedure. The steel is made up of tomahagonai " Japanese for round and precious " "iron- orr " Astennight witch is iron orr goes into the quench turning the steel into a purelight, fiaright, Martinight structure. Martinight being the wavy line as you say is the hardest fully matured edge of the Katana. Edit: I did not realize someone already said this! Sorry I'm dumb
@neilperry22242 жыл бұрын
The steel used by Japanese Swordsmiths I'd called bright-steel as they looked for meteorites that had struck the earth in Japan and believed the blades were then inbude with super strength, and possibly why they name their blades in what they saw in battle or within the smything of the blade.
@neilperry22242 жыл бұрын
You explained it better than I did and more information about the belief behind the blades, and its strange that the smaller blade has the longer name lol .
@JM103442 жыл бұрын
@Neil Perry yes, the small blade is a wakizashi, "Japanese for side arm." The small blade with a long handle is a Ko-katana. Katana itself means long single edged blade. Or something take it all with a grain of salt.

With the whole industry turning EV. I hope all those Japanese tuning houses make a come back.
@DuvJones2 жыл бұрын
That would be interesting but the biggest problem right now is that access to the power train(s) is difficult. Mostly due to buttoning down the security to keep tuners from access to some truly dangerous.... That being said, I don't think manufacturers will be able to hold back an aftermarket industry for long. It's truly a question of which manufacturer begins to budge first... ironically enough, a lot of eyes are on Nissan.
@DuvJones2 жыл бұрын
That said, let me also say this... body kits. Body kits are likely going to be an even bigger business than they are currently because they are the only thing that you can really modify that Manufactures can't stop. As much as Ricers Cars ANNOY the hell out of me, it is something that alot of EV's will likely lean to.

@@DuvJones "keep tuners from access to some truly dangerous....." what?
@DuvJones2 жыл бұрын
@@gemini4lyfe3001 Electric motors at the high end tend to disregard the driver when it comes to limits, the body can only handle so much and only really with training and/or experience at the upper end. Not everyone should be pushing hight horse power when that is a threshold that is easy broken, a rather consistence theme among tuners. It might come down to the point where tuners have to derate the power and torque to be manageable, but I doubt anyone in the industry is thinking along those lines.

Tuning in for my daily dose of Larry Chen media❤. Veilside childhood memories are always masterpieces. The shot of the shop and the Fortune Supra, NSX booklet, RX7 were forever timeless masterpieces growing up. I remember the Veilside Celica body kit for my car. And the vent carbon FFGT Hood I had to get for my Celica boy was it expensive but worth every bit knowing not everyone had it due to rarity and cost. Just the Veilside JDM badging back in the day displayed pureness from the fake knock offs. I’m glad they badged that Veilside Z as a complete package throughout the entire vehicle. It looks aggressive as though it came as a factory option and very well put together! Larry you are the King of JDM content. Keep it up brother. ❤❤❤

Nothing in the world compared to Han’s RX7. It is my first love, it will have a special place in my heart for ever, along with LS’s from Mom and 2JZ’s because of Dad. 🍻
