Stevo Canuck Well I knew harmonics (natural harmonics atleast) already when starting fingerstyle but yeah, I got the idea of slapping the strings from him as he was the first person on KZbin I saw doing fingerstyle. So after my first fingerstyle cover (one of Sungha's cover actually), I decided to make my very first arrangement ('Good Time' by Owl City) and since it had a beat, I just sat down and figured out how to do it on my own. :)

I don't know what it is about it, but this song can always put a smile on my face no matter what mood I'm in. I know what you mean. Every day it feels like I'm slowly getting closer to one day being at his level. I've only been playing guitar for a bit over one and a half years, but I've had amazing teachers and I've progressed tremendously due to their help. Many of my friends and family members are surprised by the guitar level I've obtained in such a short time, but when I see him playing multiple songs at the same level as my best ones I can tell that I still have a long way to go. I'm beginning to get close to that creativeness in creating songs, and I've been messing around with fingerpicking while making these songs. The toughest part is coming up with new sounds and finding a way to connect little pieces together to create a beautiful whole that meets your expectations. It's a tough process, but it's definitely worth the struggle when you hear a song that you can call your own and be able to bring a smile to yourself and others.
