Laputa is a really magical movie. I've watched it over 50 times since when I was just a kid. This movie is forever etched inside my brain as one of the best if not the best animated film of all time. Hayao Miyazaki is the master in this kind of anime, Grave of Fireflies, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and many many more. I have so much feelings from listening Sungha playing this beautiful soundtrack in guitar. Damn ninjas...
@danielclarke75499 жыл бұрын
I agree that Miyazaki is an a master of his craft, and makes some profoundly good art, but Grave of the Fireflies is not one of his. Got to give Takahata credit where its due.

When I was like 9 or 10 yrs. old, I had a classmate whose name I didn't even dare to ask, introduced this song to me. She told me I should listen to it. So, I listened to it. After listening to it, I was really moved with the fullness of emotions, feelings and colors that are in this song like sadness, happiness, and excitement. Until now, I still remember that one classmate of mine, even if I didn't know the name, just because of this song. For me, it's not just a song, it's the meaning of life.

YESSS I've been waiting for Sungha to post a video of him performing this song ever since the album came out *_* This song with this particular arrangement is stunningly beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites on the album (if I had to choose, since Monologue is seriously amazing). To anyone out there reading this who hasn't bought his newest album - I would highly, highly recommend it because it is seriously SO worth it. Definitely one of the best albums I've bought this year. Thank you, Sungha, for making such beautiful music, and for sharing that part of you with us. It's something that we as fans will treasure forever.

It's very beautiful. So peaceful. Well played. I love video games. I love music. But I love music more. Without music, the world would be boring. I just love everything about it. You can experience new things and learn with music. You can just be yourself. It's just another way you can express yourself. Thank you for playing this!

Apart from the million other pleb comments saying how beautiful, soothing, and how amazing this is, I want to highlight the fact this is a very complex piece to play and demands very high technical skill to pull off, especially from 3:50 onwards where the harmonics start. Kudos to Sungha Jung (Y)

I loved it. Usually it doesnt happen to me but I cried, it brings me this feeling that i call “Nostalgia for something I never had” because there was a time when I was dealing with depression and the worst part was not having someone to share feelings, thoughts, things, knowledge, etc. So this makes me remember those times I was hoping to “have a normal life” having friends, beautiful memories and experiences but i was so lonely...Anyways Im better now and I just wanted to share how you touched me by your interpretation :)
