Yes, Sunghoon was a figure skater for 10 years before becoming an Idol. That's how he earned his nickname The Ice Prince. He had his very last competition in early 2020 but he'd already been a trainee at BigHit entertainment since 2018. He has won silver at the 2016 and 2017 junior asian figure skating championship. He also was the South Korean representative at the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Estonia a well as the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Poland.
