By failing so badly in this test series and most importantly by throwing his wicket away in same way every innings, Virat has lost all the respect people used to give him as a test batsman and unless he does something in Sydney, he would only be remembered as an average test batsman who had very good 4-5 years and some great individual innings. Sunil Gavaskar is better test batsman than Virat and Rohit is always the luckiest batsman . Rohit played his first ODI in 2007 as a middle order batsman and in 2013 he started to play as an opener. From 2007 to 2012 he was a very average batsman but he got opportunities. Even Sachin would not get so many opportunities.

Very rarely we get players like Gavaskar, Kumble, Dravid, Lakshman, Ashwin, Bumrah etc (these like players also take lot of time in maturing as first they are discouraged by the people calling the shots) and then there is a great chance of them getting corrupted along the way as mediocrity prevails in a big way around them.

Be fan not fanatic. Fanatics are always blind. Kohli played badly in tests since 2020.Sourav and Kohli are the best test captains for India. Probably they're the best in the world but lost captaincy for their poor batting performances.But under Kohli's captaincy India played well-- no effects of IPL. Rohit is always not suitable for test but he became captain and this is the natural result--unable to play against standard spin and pace bowling.
