Hey Si... Those of us who live a distance from the marina owe you a debt of gratitude for the unselfish, watchful eye you offer to our boats. The high winds from the last hurricane did us no favors... I drove five hours to get there in the midst of high winds only to discover a part of a dock had lodged against my bow, with no help from the marina staff to clear the damages whatsoever... It was a disappointing revelation. I inspected yours at the time..and it seemed undamaged and intact. I didn't recognize the mast on the sunken boat. Is it close to me..The Dulcimer? Will be onsite to disconnect electrical connections in advance of coming changes. See you soon. Ed

Even in the marina i live in, there is a catamaran a little longer then my boat, it too is rotting away. You wil find four 4 types of oweners they are, 1 the liveaboards the weekenders, the no timers and the project oweners. and they are everywhere. Merry christmas. Gerard.

You try your best. It’s a shame that those boats are derelict, but you can only do so much.

Where are the owners? Can buy them off the owners?

Most of the owners live far away from the lake. Some showed up only in the summer season. But some are just outright abandoned. The abandoned boats are most likely taken over by the marina and auctioned off.
