This game is so stupidly gimmicky for a "survival" game. You can't just get the gun... You need to grind up the parts to get a blueprint to learn how to make the gun... Uh, ok... So I ground up like 40 or so gun parts without receiving a single blueprint... Ok, so then I can toddle off to a token sea shop that run by two defenceless women that have no EFFING reason to exist in a land that has nonstop raids by criminals and murderers, just so I can TRADE the PARTS for a blueprint? Holy crap did they destroy the immersion here. Seriously, I'm TRYING to find a way for this game to be fun, and I'm still giving it a shot because I like building about equal to gunplay, maybe even a little more, and the building menu is not that bad, but this gun system is SO dumb, not to mention the lack of strategic gameplay when enemies just teleport right on top of you. If this game was a true survival game, getting the guns would be the easy part; ammo would be rare and hard to come by, and they would have a much more developed melee combat system. In terms of Melee, if you're facing a high level melee attacker, you can literally just poke him with a pointy twig and all he will do is flail his arms wildly before going down after 100 or so pokes.

What games are you comparing this to ? There's a bunch of raft/island survival type games going on, and they honestly all lack in certain departements. But at the end of the day, it costs like 20 bucks, that 1 or 2 drinks when you go out, or 1-5 packs of cigarettes depending where on this globe you live. In any case, it's worth it's money, even if some things might seem clunky or you need to wrap your brain around how things work. Fuck i've ordered food for 30 bucks and it was barely edible, threw half of it in the bin. That was 30 bucks just to feed myself cause i'm lazy. Game is 20 bucks and entertains for hours, get a grip on reality man.

@@abalamdepaimon6891 - I'm comparing it to fallout 4 mainly, I guess. See that's the thing, I know I sound like Louis C.K.'s dude on an airplane who's basically a Roman God who achieved the mastery of flight, complaining about a seat that won't go back far enough, but the REALITY is we don't live in a vacuum. There are plenty of things I could spend by 20 bucks on, and frankly, money ain't got nothing to do with it. Anyway, it's not as bad as I thought it was. I thought you needed a blueprint of the fricking GUN itself before you could make the thing. I didn't know you could just mount the individual parts, so I'd been using the stupid blackpowder peashooter for the first 40 days. Regardless, I maintain that while this game might work as a multipklayer game, as a single player game it has some really broken mechanics, as well as some serious balancing issues. ARK is supposed to be good; I might give that a try when I get a bigger hard drive.

@@abalamdepaimon6891 - Btw, I started playing a game called "The Long Dark," and it absolutely blew away my expectations for how good a pure survival game can be. Aside from a couple annoying gameplay quirks, I can't imagine a survival game much better than TDL. Sunkenland in comparison is not really a survival game. It's kind of just a generic team shooter game on a half finished map, so far.
