I believe this is from their 2004 disc entitled "Live Action Sampler." I have been looking for this exact recording on and off for almost 10 years, it was an extremely important song to me during an important time in my life. I used to listen to it on repeat every single night when I went to bed for at least a year, probably more. I never thought I would hear this version of the song again. Thank you so, so much for uploading this, you have no idea how much I appreciate that. I wish I could hug you lol

thankyou for the fantastic comment. it is the odd one which really.makes me know this is worth doing. glad it is as i enjoy it! thanks also for release info. i've not even heard of it! i'm curious to hear full release now. i definitely.only have this though - it was shared on southern lord forum around 20 years ago - and as nothing was noted i just assumed it was an unreleased audience bootleg recording .

Great upload! This was performed as part of Julian Cope's 3 night residency at the Lyric Theatre in London, entitled "Rome Wasn't Burned in a Day" (2003, October 30th - November 1st). The show with Sunn O))) was on November 1st. The other two nights were with Sunburned Hand of the Man and the Vibracathedral Orchestra. From the Archdrude's website: "This Lyric Night Special sees Julian Cope bring together an array of special guests to create three different evenings of music and associated events. Featuring Cope and his band performing their first electric shows since 1996CE, this will be a 3-day series of proto-metal, underground grooves, and rare rock'n'roll footage. Enjoy music of shamanistic powers in the comfort of the Lyric's intimate beauty and lush acoustics." There's a full audience recording of Cope's sets somewhere out there, so presumably the other acts were also recorded. The full Cope recordings were uploaded to Dimeadozen years ago, but the torrent is now orphaned with no seeders. Might be on slsk...
