Saw them in this tour . I was inches away from Scott -he didn´t even acknowledged us right in front of him ...seemed he was focused on some non existent place or maybe I was just tripping harder than him . Dunno . Earth were the opening band that night -they had just got together and were touring the Hex album . Excellent concert.

the album Black One by Sunn has Xasthur and Leviathan (and others I believe) doing guest vocals.

Two tracks on Sunn o)))'s record Black One have vocals from Malefic of Xasthur, "Cursed Realms (of the Winterdemons") which is an Immortal cover, and "Báthory Erzsébet". He also plays guitars and other instruments on a couple other tracks. Album came out in '05.

I was there. All I remember is loads of bloody twats getting their cameras out when Xasthur came on. I stopped going to Sunn gigs after this.

I asked permission in a private 1-2-1 discussion with Stephen O'Malley before the gig. He was suspicious but very friendly. I was an art student with a borrowed Canon XM2 (tape conversion a bit of hit & miss hence the lines).

Sunn o isn't about chord structure and rhythm. It's strictly about capturing dark tones and soundscapes and power. If it isn't your cup of tea don't drink it
