Yeah, great ideas, very punctual and rhythmic precise playing, those motives where really great, some fine altered lines.I agree, all those videos saying learn jazz in ten minutes give me a good laugh. Every serious musician knows there's no space for lazyness. Everybody get serious put in your hours every day and with enough talent you might get there, greetings Vic.

It feels like you've taken alot of influence of Pat Martino's version? :) He likes those 16th notes. Great playing either way!

My mind is so funny...I started watching.."this guys not so good"...didn't like the two note figure at 0:17 representing "sunny".....and then, as I was preparing to judge you further, I heard your octave work, and then your smoking solo and I found a valid listening alternative to Pat Martino's version and realized I should just shut the "eff" up and listen. Man I love your solo, those flowing lines, and then that dreamy octave section. Thank you!

I bought this transcription and it is killer! I love these Benson / Martino style solos. I am working on it in small chunks and working it up to speed. I have the first 3rd of it at 80-85% the speed of this video and wow - what an ass kicker! Great solo to build your chops - bluesy stuff, bob lines, octaves etc. Thanks Achim!

you're tone is weird. Sounds like too much mid, too much "Presence" and not enough treble, but you're able to get a nice, punchy sound still. Probably due to high presence, but it is a damn good tone. I feel like you're recording at a low volume though, and we're not hearing how good the tone really is. Maybe it's the beer talking, but damn, I like the tone lol.

Hi Achim. I'm from Namibia. Germany shares some history with my country. Upu probably already know this. Man, your guitar playing is awesome, especially the (smooth) jazz stuff. Came across you quite accidentally on KZbin while looking for some jazz guitar stuff. I've been around a while listening to music and playing. Been listening to groups like Nazareth, Deep Purple, Grand Funk, Uriah Heep, ELO, Thin Lizzy, Wings, Queen, etc since the early 70s. Beatles, Stones before that of course. Got to Jazz a bit late. Who are you? Youre damn good, but who are you. Where's your music and dvds?

Bravo, bravo, bravo Achim!
