When I played this for the first time, I thought there was only one correct answer. So when it came to guess who the murderer was, I noticed the victim's quote said "You can't blame a dead owl! I mean... Zzzz..." That already raised some red flags but then I saw the victim blink! I proudly had an "Ah ha!" Moment and accused the victim. I felt pretty proud that I figured it out, until I saw that all the answers were correct. It broke my confidence to say the least...

To be fair the person guiding you on the phone and the one apparently acting as the “murderer” set up that room with the dog being held hostage, and referring to them as the pet’s pet’s name which you only told to the crow at the door So if we were to assume there was actually an intended “proper” murderer and the others are just people improv’ing, either it’s the crows, or somehow that one crow you told about the pet name was working with Grooves, or he heard you (the cutout wasn’t in the room though and there wasn’t any phones, but maybe he had the whole train under surveillance) The voice he uses to speak from the cutout and the phone hanging up is the same as the one who was leading you so it’s most likely Grooves, he’s also the only one there who couldn’t just improv the ending since he shouldn’t be there in the first place

I like to think that the Conductor in this one instance was the actual "murderer" My only real logic here is because if you don't collect any evidence, the Conductor seems to be the default chosen... It could be some cycling the game does or programming but I believe he would be crazy to fake a murder.. and be the murderer to that fake murder... It's just the devs were fun and created many different outcomes and then play coy if anyone asks them anything... But why else would they make him the murderer if you don't collect any evidence...

I just love the absurdity of being stabbed with a rubber knife being the reason he’s not actually dead Like if he was really stabbed it doesn’t matter how hard that would be to do with rubber, but he’s just like ugh yeah it was so uncomfortable And when the express owls are like omg he chews with his mouth open we just wanted some peace and quiet he willingly shut up and played dead for a few hours They probably made him not dead literally just because they didn’t want a corpse in this family-friendly game, since they do have scary stuff like Vanessa and dead people like Snatcher - they even have a noose that tries to entice you to let it strangle you! Yep, despite that, they got away with E10+. I seriously wonder how, though. Subcon Forest is the darkest part of the game. I mean, literal nooses, foxes wanting to die, a ghost that claims your soul, a noose NPC that talks about how nice it would be to hang you... And much more. Seriously, how did this game not get a higher rating? Oh well... Edit: It's coming to Switch soon and it got a T rating, so I guess there's the higher rating I asked for.
