Wohhhhhh!! I was really quite shocked too when you said that you were going to sell your Interceptor though I totally agree with your point which you said about a tourer bike but selling the Interceptor and then buying another one was a shocking thing, obviously budget bhi factor hota hai but I feel memories bhi kaafi strong hoti hai the attachment and moments which we spend with our machines, I alos have booked Mark2 but I didnt sell my Classic 500 just because of the memories, I tried to sell it quite of a time but then finally decided not to sell but to keep it always with you. Anyways good to know that you are not selling it! All the best buddy :)

Sunny Bhai, I have the same Mark 2, currently closing in on 1 year service(10000kms). I usually do service myself. I see the service guide says that Inspect tappets/valves, but does not say Adjust. So, do we have to adjust tappets / Valve clearances at 10k kms or if the bike is running fine, no loss in power, engine is smooth then we dont have to...? I dont wanna mess with current adjustments as I have no complaints. Please suggest.

Good question brother. My bike has done 25000kms and till now I have not got the tappets adjusted😀😀..engine sounds like new no sound at all, so keep going, if there is no problem then dont adjust anything, just normal service..

Him450 as honda has less adv qualities plus less production of spare parts and long waiting of parts as well.

@@SunnyhasPlans True Sunny bhai. Maintenance on RE bikes is much more cheaper and accessible than other brands. I just hope that power on Himalayan 450 is enough to allow us to cruise at 120, 130 kmph all day without any fuss. Comfortable speed to cruise on my current Himalayan is 100 kmph. It should be at least 120.

if going very very long trip then take a few more breaks. Why spend 10 or 15 lac for bmw or triumph sports tourer? Interceptor is a versatile bike. however, if one is fond of and has huge extra bundles of money then go for a sport tourer. Interceptor is the last bike for a middle class rider. If one wants to upgrade there is huge jump in cost.

I keep it covered when not in use and quick wash after the trips, use micro fibre cloth, dont wipe too hard with the cloth..
