A super underrated series/duology that is six-star worthy to me is the Genie Lo duology by F.C. Yee (the first book is The Epic Crush of Genie Lo)- they are genuinely fun, fast-paced, funny, and the romance subplot is very adorable!

Omg I read Once Upon a Broken Heart earlier this year and felt the same way you did. Like it took me so long to finish it because I just was not feeling it but then it picked up at the end. I didn't get as scared as people made it out to be. But the Poppy War is so good and I think about it all the time after reading it. which surprised me, cuz right when I was done, I didn't think about it for a week, but after that, I thought about it all the time and wanted to reread it right away. like, what? I never want to reread books so soon after finishing it. Loved it! Once Upon a Broken Heart, in my opinion, was better then Caraval, but I think I enjoyed and gave the two books like four stars because of Caraval being something I read already (which is like a three stars trilogy). Wait... the third book is already out!!! well... I guess I know what I'll be reading next--- 🏃‍♀
