It’s kinda crazy, and people won’t understand cause they think it isn’t a real thing, but playing video games as your “job” can burn you out bad. Often when most of us play, it’s to have fun, relax or release stress from a hard day of work/school. Initially, if you start gettin paid to play games, it’s awesome and exciting cause it’s like a dream come true, but you can see with so many streamers, it starts to get boring, and they feel like they play cause they are forced to play to make money. Yea it sounds like a dumb problem, but when the passion isn’t there, you just don’t care to play even if it is your job.

I think hamlinz has an insane amount of willpower and was able to force himself to stream longer than he actually wanted to for a long period of time and now its catching up with him. Probably overworked himself and will be back eventually. Therapy would probably help but im only speculating

Being a streamer or KZbinr on one game usually turns out bad because to have a successful job in the internet you also need a personality that can apply to other games. For example, pokimane has stayed relevant for years because people want her to play different games, and they tune in only for the personality, not a mix of gameplay.

I really miss the hamlinz and daequan videos. I literally use to wake up every morning. Drive to work while the sun was still down, and just have their videos playing while I drove. They’re still 2 of the most entertaining and enjoyable streamers/content creators I’ve ever watched. They had elite skill and great personalities. Honestly, I don't need them to come back; I need them to just be alright. When I found them I was in a depressive state myself and they helped me feel so much better everyday by making me laugh more than anything could at the time; It really sucks to see them in the position they got me and MANY others out of. Fortnite made a lot of opportunity for streamers. But it’s starting to decline. Epic gaming is essentially flogging a dead horse. It’s done defend it as much as you can but you can’t hide the fact there is no content, the community is just toxic.
