What Happened To PopularMMOs? This question has been circulating ever since Pat's upload schedule slowed down roughly 2 years ago. Well, between 3 different arrests, 3 messy breakups, and a post hinting at some pretty serious problems, we're going to investigate exactly what happened to PopularMMOs, from his breakup with Jen, to where he is now.

It seems like Jen was the person who brought all the positivity. When she left, the positivity did too. Pat tried his best to contain the remaining positivity after their separation, but was ruined by Eleni (and perhaps Liz). It's really sad to see how Pat and Jen's lives went on after the separation. Pat's community seemed awfully friendly and generally speaking, those who probably send her any form of harassment likely held a hunch she wasn't good. Though no doubt maybe a minority were gatekeeping, probably not far to assume she was... very ego centric and toxic. Makes me wonder if she lied about the death threats, or fabricated them even. There's been lots of drama with other people's favorite childhood creators, and I never related because I never grew up with those KZbinrs so it was unfamiliar to me and I didn't care all that much. But this hits different. I remember how when I was younger, I went to a party where there wasn't much to do there besides play Minecraft on my ipad with some other kids I met. When the battery died, we had nothing to do; but one kid suggested something. He got on his phone, went to KZbin, and started playing one of Pat's videos. I had no idea who that was, but at the time, he and Jen were the funniest people in the world. So after the party, I decided to try and use KZbin myself to look for their videos. That one video was the entire reason for me learning and getting into KZbin in the first place. I can't say enough on how those videos impacted my life, and it just really hurts to see Pat shown and talked about this way. He was a big part of my childhood, and I just really wish things didn't have to go this way. I know that Pat can never go back to his old life, but I hope that there is still something out there that can give him a reason to be happy again.

Honestly tho idk whose story to believe. This guy screams dodging accountability for his actions and seems to have an excuse/way to spin the story every time he’s “accused” of something. Like streaking at the game on national tv. Pat’s story makes sense. After things went south with Jen, he seems to have tried to fill that void with mentally ill girls who were likely extremely easy to woo due to those mental issues. Drinking is very likely to cause blow up events like this, especially in someone who has BPD and depression and PTSD. It’s also evident that he loves her very much which explains why he has been extremely hesitant and limited when it comes to placing the blame and condemning some of her actions. He says she drove drunk the first time so it makes sense that a drunk Pat locked out of his own home would think slashing tires he can afford to replace would be the best way to ensure she didn’t drink and drive hurting herself or others around her. If he did chase her down the street, it seems way more likely he was trying to keep her out of trouble as opposed to attacking her. Someone with all those mental disorders is going to interpret all these different events as Pat being a controlling abuser who’s trying to hurt her when the reality is a lovesick partner trying to protect her while intoxicated.

Honestly watching this breaks my heart. From my own life experience and relationships I believe every word he says 100%. I have dated the same exact types and actually been through worse situations, though not in the public eye. People that deal with bipolar, bpd, ptsd/cptsd, narcisstic personality disorder are extremely hard to have a successful relationship with especially if they don’t take ownership and seek treatment. As much as you want to love them and be empathetic towards their mental health and trauma you’ll likely end up in jail, have your name smeared, or even dead. There is some folks that actually work through it and get the help they need but I would never take my chances trying to “save”, help, or heal someone like that again unless I knew for certain that had already done that work by themselves. It sounds like he has a similar mentality I had to heal myself from which is basically co-dependency and knowing that a situation is too volitile for your own safety, regardless how much you want to help someone. Sometimes (especially as men) we almost get addicted to these types and infatuated with the idea we can help them become better. I can imagine his brand with the couple aspect made it even harder to leave. Hope u heal bro ❤

mental disorders can be very hard for both parties and a person can take so much before retorquing or fall into a spiral. i don t know how things are in the states since i am from canada but here we have support groups and lines for the person suffering from the disorder but for their partners as well. i think it s very important for both parties to seek help and not just count on friends or families since such disorders can be very complex and vary from case to case. sometimes the person suffering from the disorder is also very scared, have abandonment issues, doesn't feel like reaching out since they are just feeling like being attacked or called crazy. i highly doubt this woman reads comment here but know girl that even if it can be a hard to find the therapist for you there is bond to have one that will be able to help you feel better about yourself and the world around you. you are not alone and even if you think you can t be happy or hate the world around you there is always some people who will understand your struggle and like you for who you are but in order to stop pushing away those who care about you you need to take care of yourself first.

I dated a girl with BPD for 4 years. While it wasn't as toxic as some other cases I've read (or Pat in this situation), I cannot tell you the insecurities that come up in you when you're dating someone with BPD. There are insane levels of instability that leave you confused and caught off guard. I ended it almost a year and a half ago and it took everything I have in order to bounce back and it's been very very difficult. From therapy to support group of friends and family to change in lifestyle, I did it all and I am still almost back to being who I was before her. Believe me, it's not pretty and like I said, it wasn't as toxic as others I've seen.

It was a lonely childhood but getting back from school to double uploads of his videos just helped me going. It's painful to see him spiral like this. He tries so hard to portray strength, but even he eventually reached his limit. Pat, I don't think you'll see this, but if you do, I want you to know you're loved. As someone who dated someone with BPD, depression, and PTSD, this is extremely relatable and hard to watch. I absolutely understands his pain, dating someone like that...does things to you. You want to hate them for the things they have done to you but you cant. You just love them so much, and you "suffer so much". Before you know it, the depression stats to rub off on you.
