The built in kickstand angle is a fixed at 50 degrees. Up to 20% more power can be output by selecting the actual date and latitude optimal angle.The 500 will only input 3.5A maximum at 18 volts for 63 watts. Some of the excess power from the panel can be fed into a USB battery bank, charged directly from the panel while also charging a 500. This will allow you to harvest as much as 63 + 15 = 78 watts.If this panel is used to charge a larger device, such as the power station, then its full output potential can be realized.

We just signed the contract for a sunpower system. All the warranty is under Sunpower, maxion wording was there only to explain the panel technology in it. System is expensive , but still less expensive than my monthly electric bill of $945 a month . Good video!!

@@lilmamma807 they handle everything, it takes a while for the permits 3 to 5 weeks on that alone. Expect total time from start to finish about 3 months.

@@lilmamma807my system isn't finished yet . But if you have a system big enough to cover all your energy usage you will only have a bill around 20$ a month . That monthly 20$ fee is for maintenance of the grid . The only way to get rid of that bill is going off grid , that means you will need batteries to do that .

Had 10 maxeon 3 panels fitted last October, in April the inverter went bang, 2 more inverters fitted also went pop, many tests later found an earth leakage issue with the panels. All the panels were removed from my roof and tested individually to find all were faulty. Sunpower have refused to honour the warranty saying there is no issue with the panels although multiple electricians have tested them against new panels. When I finally get a resolution I don’t intend to put sunpower back on my roof.

Multiple electricians ? I Thought the Sunpower installer would service any problems and Sunpower would cover the parts if failed? What happened to the 25yr power guarantee? If you bought a 10kw system and you are producing 0kw the warranty should kick in. Did you install this system yourself?

@@shamilranasinghe6247 I don't think a home owner can buy a Sunpower system and install it themselves. You have to be a dealer to install or even get the system, I can be wrong . It's crazy how most reviews on solar panels get compared to sunpowers output and warranty they must be doing something right. Yeah I would like to to see the response too.

The electrician that installed and commissioned the system is fully qualified to do so under U.K. regulations, he is not an official Sunpower installer but has install many systems in the U.K. over some years with no issues. Mine was his first sunpower installation linked to a givenergy inverter and battery, he has installed quite a few systems sunpower/givenergy systems since mine with no issues. Givenergy completed the replacement of the inverter under their warranty and conducted testing of the solution and found no issues with the installation, I guess the only error they made was that they always made the replacement in the evening where little power was being generated so didn’t see the earth fault from the panels. Anyway it’s now 5 months since the original issue and still no sign of a resolution, the installer is having to start down the legal route to claim against the wholesaler who in turn will need to claim against sunpower.

@@davehaley1437 im buying the exact same set up. but the installers is only one of 2 in my area recommended by sunpower to install it in preston uk. he said it took him two years to be recommended by sunpower.

Good video I have a fault of only wanting the best when cost wise not always the case. We are going to put solar on our roof. Our electric bill even in Hawaii is 120.00 a month trade winds are our drier. No dishwasher, We have trade winds to cool house when not blowing couple fans. We compost & catch rainwater from roof gutters instead of letting it go down storm drain. Have pretty low carbon footprint compared to many Americans. With Federal & State tax rebates & Hawaiian electric paying 5,000 toward batteries if they can pull energy peak hours evening 600pm - 830pm. It is still a big expense so doing research have a couple quotes already. We will split the cost. Like this guy's videos.

For some reason, my sunpower designer didn't provide me the options of the solar panels but simply chose another brand called WAAREE. I'm not happy about they turning away from Maxeon.

If Sunpower worked for me , I would fire them all , extreme lack of communication when probelm arises , there , apparently all out to lunch , in more ways then one .

this seems some what confused for the consumer. If you were buying the Sunpower brand you would expect the warranty to stand with Sunpower irrespective whether they manufacturer the panel in Singapore. Think i'll give them a miss.

Using the very best Sunpowerr Setup roughly how many days of useable power is available in the backup batteries in a blackout situation and with no available solar energy (Gray clouds). Basically how long does its biggest backup battery last in an average 3000 sf home? Ty! CC

Our experts say that generally, solar batteries are not large enough to provide backup power for an entire home. Sunpower flex panels show severe sundamage before 3 years. Surface gets damaged by UV. Surface layer starts to crumble like all bad plastics do. No warranty excepted. Rip off

@@jonphanspromotions just picked up 5 today for a new rig build. Should have them up in running in a week. REC has the same panels because Panasonic is getting out of solar. I would try to get REC. check out the data sheet on both. REC alpha series panels. I got a great deal on the Panasonic and could not find any REC panels for sale.

Sunpower is a HORRIBLE company. My solar has been out since June 9th and they continue to bill me. I've probably contacted the company 20 times now and told them that I have severe health problems and need the solar working for the AC. They continue to bill but do NOTHING to fix the problem.
