Amazing video as always! Would love to see more of these shoot/edit combos. Posing has always been one of my biggest struggles with portrait work so it was incredibly helpful to see you and Rosie develop the right pose for the shot together. I often forget that organic trial and error are always a part of the process!

Nice job Forrest. Way to work the scene (and light). Especially liked her portraits. Have to say I loved the soft pre-dawn light on her at the rocky point better than post-sunrise. The fog scattered the light and lit her face. But I'm old :-) and don't generally prefer the current popular style of shooting into the light, purposely flaring your lens, over-processing, etc.

Shooting and editing in one video is so good! If might ask you something for a future Q&A video is how you deal with your personal taste with commercial work when editing. For example, with my client, I always have to go with real colors and real light, while I'd love to deliver something more aesthetic but realistic of course.

Your comment about the light being more important than the frame seems to be something that comes naturally for me. Whenever I am shooting people we typically got to the location and the first thing I do is look for where the light is. Specifically dappled light, or lighting hitting an area with a nice background. Typically wherever the light hits has the best frame anyway! My 2 cents on the sluggish ae-1: just replace it. It's not worth the wasted frames. I'd reccomend replacing it with a nikon FG. It's small, has a super 80's style, all the same features as the ae1, and takes the nikon AIS lenses you already seem to be collecting. It's great in low light as well because it has LED meter readout.

Any plans to do your presets on Capture One? I'm sure it would be a massive PITA, but for us non-Lightroom folks it would be lovely. Edit - ignore this comment -- just saw your CO style pack! (Your links always go to LR and the CO option is kind of hidden.)
