Thanks for asking. I’m going to take it out wherever/whenever I can around home, but I got the board in anticipation for a roadtrip from Idaho thru Canada and to Alaska this summer. I’m researching places to paddleboard and camp along my route pretty much daily now.

@@PaddleAdventurer Sometimes it's easy to get complacent and just stay home "there'll be another beautiful sunrise TOMORROW" -right? It's important to get out today. And if not the sunrise, there's probably a sunset to catch. Just ordered a couple of paddle boards for my wife and I and kayaks for the kids. Can't wait to get out on them!

You’re awesome. I do this with a kayak, but you should get polarized sunglasses with the high transmission index (let’s more light in, better for low light) and fitted with a lanyard to prevent loss - you will be amazed at what you will see under water!
@PaddleAdventurer Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and the kind comment, Barry! I actually have prescription sunglasses that are polarized (heart shaped too!). Just didn't pack them for this adventure. They really do help with sun reflection on the water!

Decaf... shit indeed!! Once my electric pump arrives I NEED to do some sunrise lounge boarding. Really appreciate your message about exploring our own backyard. I loved the mink, thanks for the great episode :)

Coffee is a must ☕️ for early morning paddles! What type of electric pump did you get? I actually have the same umbrella company (iRocker) as your board. Thanks for the kind words and great feedback! I’m so glad you enjoyed the adventure! And I can’t believe I got that close to a mink. Thought of you since you were the first one to guess it from one of my earlier adventures! 🙌🏼

I love your river! It’s looks so calm. Maybe you just pick days where there is little to no wind! I need to find a body of water like that near where I live. 😊

It’s a beauty spot! Perfect for a relaxing morning cruise with my coffee and the beavers! I always check the winds and weather before headed out but this area is protected which helps. Fully recommend finding a nice calm spot for your mornings!

If you can bring it out on the water or trail then you can bring it back to dispose of it properly. It's much lighter on the way back so shouldn't be a problem for everybody!

I live in Stoney Creek and just bought a paddle board. Can you launch from peer four, then paddle around to Coot's? I am looking for places to paddle and luanch points. Binbrook conservation area.... what time of the year does the paddle boarding season normally start with no wet suite?
@PaddleAdventurer Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! You can launch from Pier 4 but it will be busy in the summer with boats etc. For that area I'd suggest launching at Bayfront. There is a boat ramp and floating docks. You can get to Cootes from this area but there is a small portage over the fish way. Check out the video for best spot to launch for Cootes: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6axeYGklp2Ve9U I also have a few Hamilton paddle spot location details on my blog. paddleadventurer.com/paddle-locations-posts/ Binbrook is a great spot to go same with Christy Lake although later in the year it can be pretty shallow. I'd say the shallower locations will be warm enough in the next month or so but it totally depends on the weather. Hope this helps!

I don't understand your comment. If you're talking about the beavers slapping their tails it's a way to warn other beavers something is in the area.
