I tried/patch tested a few dozen sunscreens (American, Korean, and Japanese) this year, desperate to find one my super sensitive/allergic/acne prone/combo/post-early menopausal skin can tolerate, and the Summer Fridays is now my holy grail! It is the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out, the formula is beautiful, and it seems to work! Triple win that is extremely rare for me so I highly recommend it, especially for those who have trouble tolerating sunscreens. I think it works for me because it has a pretty short ingredient list, no butocetyl salicylate, and is more of a serum consistency. Whatever the reason, it feels like a skincare miracle for someone who struggles to find basic products I can tolerate, let alone enjoy using 😊

Sun block is the one product I really feel like I found my staple this year. It’s Naked Sundays clear glow radiant serum in spf 50. I like how it works under makeup and they also do a spf spritz that tops up sunscreen and sets your makeup.

I managed to finish up my first flakey bottle of the Tatcha and have been using the new bottle for a couple weeks now. No issues with flaking so far. And I feel like that first bottle began flaking pretty immediately so this is a good sign! I’ll let you know if that changes though. I’m also almost finished with the summer Fridays bottle and have loved it so much. I find it’s much less drying if I use it over a hydrating serum/oil. I have been leaning towards using up my spf 30 sunscreens in the winter, since there’s a lot less sun exposure.

You’re living my dream in trying out all the latest SPF’s under the sun. 😂 I love the Shiseido Wet Force SPF 50 that you reviewed before, but it can sensitize my eyes if I put too much. And like to put a little more than 1/4 tsp out of habit when I used Supergoop! Play. I tried the stick SPF version by Shiseido, but I just feel as if it is not enough protection on my eyes. Gonna try the Tatcha mineral for my eye area. Thank you for making these videos.

I had a sample of the Saint Jane one and wow it was really nice, but I do feel like I have to use a lot of it to get the protection I need for very sunny days. The Summer Fridays one is next on my list to try!

Yeah, for very sunny days most of the spf 30s don’t feel sufficient for me. But for everyday use, they’re wonderful

Have you ever tried the Australian Gold Botanicals tinted sunscreen? It’s my fave mineral sunscreen. My HG. I love the LRP UVMUNE too. I have both formulations and love them both. I pick one depending on my skin that day. Happy New Year!

I have tried it a few years back! I liked it a lot but sometimes the tint is a bit weird on me, color-wise. Happy New Year to you too!!

Thank you for all the sunscreen reviews, you are so knowledgeable! I have medium-tan skin tone and the Murad spf50 is the only mineral sunscreen that is not tinted but also doesn’t leave a white cast on me. I have tried from so many brands (elta MD, skin ceutical, and all others from Sephora) but nothing compared to this one. The Murad one is so pricy so I really want to find an alternative- spf50, mineral, non tinted and no white cast. Please let me know if you have any recommendations!

I am from The Netherlands and I use a brand from the UK. Dr vanita Rattan her sunscreen. Mineral and no white cast. Or the mineral from Biossance. Do it im 2 thin layers and also no white cast. Both are around 30 euro. I love these both.

Hmmm not sure if it would be the best for oily skin. Are you going for a dewy look or a more matte one?

Hello! Can you please recommend the most gentle sunscreen you are aware of in the market? My skin is extremely sensitive and its right now super dry to the point that the only thing that is kind of working to keep it not dry is vaseline 😞 Which sunscreen would you recommend? Thanks! 🙏🏼

It sounds like your moisture barrier is severely compromised and it might be best to go to a dermatologist to get help. I can’t really recommend a sunscreen bc it sounds like any one will be sensitizing at the moment. Focus on repairing your moisture barrier first and then you shouldn’t have as hard a time finding one. Good luck! 💕

@@DanaRipperton I did, I went to two derms and they both just prescribed cortisone creams which I am not a fan😞This skin issue came out of nowhere in December. I used to use sunscreens and skincare products without an issue. Can you recommend any of your products from your skincare line? Thanks so much for your message. I appreciate you took the time to get back to me and the best wishes🤍🙏🏼

@@annelle525 I would honestly just recommend an oil with no added fragrance, cream with no fragrance and something to lock it all in like Aquaphor. No harsh cleansers and nothing with ‘fancy’ ingredients. Both the oil and cream from my line do have some added essential oils, which normally don’t cause irritation, but if your skin is truly that sensitized, they may be too much. Look into Cerave or Cetaphil. Best of luck!
