Never thought I'd say it, but I prefer the Predator. Lower price, lower COG, and amazing quality. Crew cabin is a waste, rather have lazarette storage space. Good review 👍

Always loved the predator, its lines are slick and who isn't going to be attracted to a boat that has the name "Predator". However, since the intro of the sport yacht version, apart from the additional weight and I assume, well managed change to the centre of gravity, Sunseeker have found a way to arguably make a flybridge look very sexy. That helm station on the 65 sport is a thing of beauty and a little 007ish dear I say it.

In Australia we design the BBQ first and then build the boat around it. I love the wrap around seating in the cockpit, which is very similar to the Princess V55, BUT there is no place for a BBQ in the cockpit. Whereas the V55 Princess has both the wrap around seating and a very nice BBQ. Sunseeker really needs to think of their customers outside of the UK and the Mediterranean.

These boats aren't meant for the uk market either, otherwise they wouldn't bother with all the sunbathing sections for the 3 days of the year you could use them.

Agreed. The crew cabin/storage space in the cockpit is a lost opportunity.

I’m leaning towards the Sport version but the fact it’s such a difficult decision speaks volumes about both models. Thanks for your insight Jack. One minor point of accuracy (Sunseeker Geek here, sorry) - if you select the 4th cabin option, it is a single berth purely because the rake of the hull doesn’t provide enough room for a bunk.

I really love that sunroof and the accommodation is beautiful. I'd go for this one but move the galley below.
@JohnSmith-zo6ir Жыл бұрын
I would go for this boat over the flybridge version. It's too hot where I live to be frying in the sun on an open, non-airconditioned flybridge. The cockpit is very nice and social with the wrap around seating. I don't see this as a compromise at all. It has a good connection to the galley and I like the social design of the saloon with opposite facing seating. Connection to the sea is very good in the saloon, cockpit, forward sun lounge and hi-lo platform. Just wish is had a twin grill BBQ in the cockpit with some benchtop workspace. No need for a fridge or sink in the cockpit since the galley is close by. Very good boat. I was about to order a Princess V55, but this might be better. My choice will be based on whether I can go out on my own and skipper single handed with say a remote docking control (dockmate) and of course a twin grill BBQ, one ribbed grill for steaks and a flat grill for bacon, eggs and teppanyaki. That's me sorted ✅

Same here - I am in Singapore/Thailand and we rarely use the outdoor spaces during day time. Also, we are born tanned so the only folks sun bathing are my 2 crew (pale skin). Whats funny is the captain and the lady crew get mistaken as owners while we brown curry folks get mistaken as the crew. In Asia, we create a spectacle when some curry Indian family has 2 or 3 staff who are europeans. Also, we have staff of 5 sometimes - massage lady, chef & nanny. Need to upgrade to a bigger one but new build wait times are crazy now. Enjoy your new boat.

Superb tour as always Jack. Sunseeker sure make wonderful motor yachts, I’ll keep doing the lottery 😁

Definitely the Princess F65 instead of either (weirdly Nick's review of that one automatically followed your review just as I was thinking of it). Great review, thanks!

Princess S66 would be my choice over this. Navetta 64 the ultimate 65 footer for me though!

Think I prefer the Fairline or Princess S66 , not a fan of the new cockpit style of the Sunseeker , although having a hi low tv is a better idea , don't want to be watching TV when people or scenery watching is more fun 😊 , thanks though for another great review

I like this a lot, I love the big master cabin and the pods that manufacturers are using for the MFD's, they sort of look very classic sci-fi and modern at the same time. I would be happy to lose the tender garage for better engine access though and put the tender on the bathing platform. 👍❤️🇬🇧

I prefer the sport. The upper helm is so nice i couldn't pass it up. If i bought the predator i would be thinking about the upper helm all the time. Where as if i buy the sport ill never be wishing i had a bigger sunroof. Its an easy choice for me

The crew cabins and lack of engine space put this and the 65 soort at such a disadvantage with the princess equivalents

It’s hard to say having only driven the Sport Yacht but I found the driving experience so rewarding from the Sky Helm that I’d be surprised if driving the Predator swayed me in its direction - Jack

I remember the Predators of the 90s, they were more long and sporty looking, I think in 30 years they have become a bit fat and tubby. Well, so am I, but hey ho...

The video is great and gives a good feeling about the boat.... Unfortunately for Sunseeker, it feels like a caravan not like a sport yacht. That kitchen on the main deck in the prime spot is just a punch in the face.
