Sunset Boulevard stretches from Downtown Los Angeles westward to the Pacific Ocean. A viewer suggested I fly my helicopter the length of Sunset Blvd, so that exactly what I did. From Downtown LA, past Echo Park, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, and Pacific Palisades, over the Playboy Mansion and the Sunset strip, finally reaching the Pacific Coast Highway near Will Rogers State Beach.

the mansion at 12:00 that you turned around to see is the mansion built by Aaron Spelling. built in 1988 it actually has 123 rooms, far more than the 38 you were joking about.

It was the biggest residential house in America for quite a long time, and sold for $100MM, so it's a bit more than "really fancy". 😀 BTW, their near-next-door neighbors, the Playboy Mansion isn't the Playboy Mansion anymore, it's owned by the family who owns Hostess, so it's more like the Little Debbie Mansion.

I was just thinking of one place I'd like to see. The house that the character on the Amazon's series Bosch uses. It is on a bluff. Not sure where it is but somewhere in greater LA I believe. Note: I just looked it up and the address is 1870 Blue Heights Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90069 . Turns out it isn't that far from Sunset Blvd - due north of Sunset Strip - so I'll have to review this video to see if you caught it.

When I was last in LA to visit my brother who lives in Sylmar, I drove us the length of Sunset from close to the begining all the way out to PCH. We also ate Gladstones.

Another awesome video! I enjoy your flights over LA. It's a massive city (or I should say 'cities'). I love architecture, so it is great to see all the beautiful buildings. Being a wealthy city there is a lot of extra money put into design, so you don't have a lot of plain square or rectangular box-shaped towers. I also like that you point out specific buildings or locations. There are many places that I have heard about and it is great to see them, and their locations, within this megacity. Right after the playboy mansion, the house that is so ridiculously huge that you been had to circle back happens to be the former Spelling Home (think Aaron or Tori Spelling). It sold for $160million

That big house near the Playboy mansion was Aaron Spelling's house. It was then bought by Petra Ecclestone (Bernie's daughter). And I believe she has sold it or was selling it.

At 11:16. the house in lower right across from Playboy West is Walt Disney's old property. His house is gone , his train barn has been relocated to Griffith Park and the new owners built this. At 12:00, Arron Spelling's house. Cool flight !

Mr. Muzio: Great videos! Re a few questions/comments I have heard on the IRVINE vid. (1) Why are they growing so many trees near the I5 through Irvine? They grow trees in areas between high-voltage towers as nothing else can reasonably be done with that space. (2) Why so much farm land in Irvine & Costa Mesa regions? The owners are holding the land as future investment. As working farmland, taxes are probably a great deal cheaper. I would think a lot of that land was grandfathered in to better tax situations or have remained in families a long time.

Hey again Micah, at 14:27 Dan Bilzarian's house is fully in frame as well. "The Goat" insignia's are clearly seen on the roof and driveway. Dan's house is huge, so it gives quite a perspective of how gigantic the compound above Dan's with the Jeff Koons artwork is!
