Sunset Riders (SNES) - Longplay

A longplay of Sunset Riders.
Sunset Riders is a side-scrolling run-and-gun style shoot-'em-up released by Konami as a coin-operated video game in 1991. The game is set during the American Old West, where the player takes control of a bounty hunter who is seeking the rewards offered for various criminals. The coin-op version was released in two variants: a 2-player version and a 4-player version. Home versions of Sunset Riders were released for the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) in 1992 and for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993.
The game, which is set in a fanciful version of the American Old West, revolves around four bounty hunters who are out to claim rewards given for eliminating the most wanted outlaws in the West. At the beginning of each stage the player is shown a wanted poster, showing the criminal, the reward for stopping them, and the line "Wanted dead or alive".

There's a reference to "A Fistful of Dollars" at 24:02. For those who don't know, it's the makeshift "Bulletproof Vest" trick. Same reference popped up in "Back to the Future Part 3"

its a cheated walkthrough with save state and slow-mo abuse. You can do the same with many emulators. What you'll get in the end is a perfect walkthrough without a trace of cheats

@20:40 There is a life behind the tree, if you check closely there is something blinking. Just jump and 1up. Select stage: At the character select screen, press shoulder buttons L, L, L, L, L, R, R, R, R, R. Now select a character. The stage select and sound test will appear on the next screen. Yeah I added this to my Snes Classic and it is a challenging game. Without save states i wouldnt get far lol but it reminds me of Contra. Will take some practice to master. Missed out playing this one growing up. I'm 36 btw was 9 when this came out lol

YOU CAN'T HAVE SUNSET RIDERS WITH 2 CHARACTERS! Who cares if the bullets were coloured? Oh yeah. You. I'm not insulting you. But I'm telling you the truth. The Genesis version has missing stages. Master System Graphics (I'm not kidding). And it's really SLOW. Isn't The Genesis supposed to be a FAST console?! Sunset Riders on genesis is just the speed of an NES! And it isn't Faithful to the original arcade version. The only good things the Genesis version had was Better music than the SNES version. Decent gameplay and lack of censorship. The Rest? SNES is much better. And. Closer to the arcade version.

In the arcade version, you could exit the saloon with booze and prostitutes. Since this is on Nintendo, both of these are absent. I'm pretty sure they got in the Sega version, though
