10 days for essentially 6 walls, is a good pace for just you two doing it. It's looking great. The view of the mountains from the long wall windows is spectacular.

The home is really starting to really take shape guys 😊. Just wondering if you have any updates regarding the Solar problems you had a few videos ago?
@Benthitchfarm21 сағат бұрын
@@stevenhartley1350 Thank you. The company we purchased our solar from, (Signature Solar) is sending us a new inverter! Everything was setup correctly and they have determined it was a fluke thing. Glad we have a 10 year warranty through them and they actually honored it!!! ~L
@stevenhartley135021 сағат бұрын
@ I’m glad to hear that they are abiding with the warranty. I hope that your solar system will be fixed and that you will be able to enjoy the fruits of solar power soon. I was wondering if you will also be possibly utilising wind power with a wind turbine or a generator to keep your batteries during cloud or snowfall situations?
@Benthitchfarm21 сағат бұрын
@@stevenhartley1350 Thanks. Yeah, we are looking into a water turbine for the seasonal creek on the homestead. It runs all year except for summer. It would be an amazing way to make power on those cloudy rainy/snowy days! ~L

Cool house guys with Fantastic views! I built a new house in 2017 and had to install 2" foam insulation on the outside of the house. I live in zone 6. I should have built 2" window frames for the windows. Just thought I'd pass that on😊
@Benthitchfarm17 сағат бұрын
@@erwinaddison2030 Thank you. Did you spray foam or have bats?
@erwinaddison203016 сағат бұрын
I used closed cell spray foam and 2"foam on the outside for a thermal break. Then had to install a ERV to lower moisture inside the house. I nailed the windows thru the foam insulation and had difficulty with the extension jams being wacky.

Look'n good. I am sure you know this but...really not a great idea to pull nails out with your hammer. Yes, I know it has a claw but, eventually it will loosen or crack the wooden handle. Also, the air "quick connect couplers" should not need to be forced. I saw you pushing so hard to connect the hose to the compressor when it was leaking. Inside that coupler is a "o" ring and little ball bearings. Make sure it is clean and add a little oil once in a while so the balls move freely. The cold probably has the little balls frozen (water/condensation) and not locking completely on the male end. Good to replace them, they are very inexpensive. I am watching every episode, really enjoy seeing your progress.
@Benthitchfarm16 сағат бұрын
@@roberta4989 Thank you. I definitely have broken my fair share of hammers that way! I looked into the fitting on the compressor and the o-ring is all smashed over. Replaced it with a non quick connect fitting I had laying around and …. No leak. Definitely should have checked that before and oiled it 👍

I’m quiet concerned that you are not rolling the ZIP tape. The adhesive is activated by pressure, you cannot get complete pressure by just rubbing it! If you have any issues in the future both Zip and your insurance carrier will more than likely reject your claim because the tape was not installed to manufacture instruction. You still can get them rolled before siding.
@Benthitchfarm21 сағат бұрын
@everettvancampen3315 Thank you so much for the concern. The official Zip roller will be here Friday! After a lot of comments and concern about the roller, we have taken all the advice and ordered one! Keep the comments coming, it really helps!
