What a bucolic look at a beautiful Island. I remember traveling on Pan American back in the 70"s. It is a blessing to see how the Island is still so colorful and inviting. Year round hospitality.... I miss St. Lucia so much

Don't you wonder what the white people thought about us back then. Seeing how they treated the black people in their countries. St Lucia is very beautiful yes but this video did not age well knowing the climate of the black experience on the continents at the time. We look like happy slaves, not once did they show us or anyone who looked like us enjoying what the hotels had to offer. See how wholesome our carnival costumes were compared to now.

7:14 I’m so shocked to see women back then used to carry 2 bulks of bananas on their head and women now can’t even carry 2 big packets of tissue of toilet paper from Mega J.
