What makes this even harder is the fact Brightflower, Yellowfang’s own mother, basically sided with Brokenstar and had no sympathy for her daughter who was exiled. Didn’t even stand up for her, either. I understand she was grief stricken because of her kits, but it’s awful to think about. Great work as always though !! This song is special to me, and the art and character designs are beautiful.

@@Sabertooth_sandwing I think it’s because I don’t think she even knew until she got to StarClan or something. We don’t even see her that much in StarClan when she passes, but I’m very curious to know how she would have reacted to that.

I wonder how Brightflower felt, after hearing everything Brokenstar did. Causing the lives of multiple cats, including her own kits, driving her daughter away. Did she ever feel bad for what she did to Yellowfang? Did she continue to resent her daughter, did she ever wonder where she went? She never got to say goodbye to yellowfang, though I’m not really sure if she did deserve to, that would depend on wether she felt bad for what she did. I get she was grieving, but she lost hers kit, and her resenting Yellowfang and believing Brokenstar over her own daughter, driving her out of Shadowclan. But doing that only made her lose one more, she should know Yellowfang more than any other cat, she should know her daughter would never do that to her own siblings. Yellowfang would never do that, especially when she knows what it’s like to lose kits of her own. Yellowfang still atleast loved her son dearly, even despite the fact Brokenstar never felt any guilt for everything he did. A mother will love their child, even if they know their child has done horrible, unforgivable things. Even if they can’t ever forgive their child, a mother will always love her son. Yellowfang would have been a good mother, just like she was a good medicine cat.

This is beautiful and tells a heartbreaking story. The emotion is incredible, and i love the details with the lyrics (Brokenstar appearing when the lyrics say "please don't take my sunshine away"). And the fact you used the queens from ShadowClan is creative too.

lol all those kittens coming out at the end and the guy is like, “Oh my gosh!” That was great. When it comes to Brokenstar, I never understood how the queens and fathers didn’t rip him to shreds. I get the whole Warrior Code and not questioning leaders, but if someone tried to force my child to fight in wars that they are destined to die in, I’d kill them or die trying. I’ll bet if one queen would’ve stood up to him and tried to kill him, more would have joined in at that point. I would like to think that at least. I don’t have any children, mind you, but think about how hard it is to carry them inside you, give birth to them, nurture them, only to have someone rip them away from you and get them killed. I’m just saying, I would freaking lose my shit.

this is the one song that I think of when it came to my cat. Though I was his third owner that he had at only the age of 2 years old I helped him learn that there was someone on his side that was in his corner, that this someone wasn't gonna abandoned or hurt him ever again, that this person was his forever person and that most importantly he was home. For 12 years I was his two-leg person. At 9 years old I fought my parents to let me keep stating that he was my cat. My parents didn't want a sickly cat let alone a cat that didn't trust men, he was hurt by a man that's why he didn't trust them! I turned his whole word around. I loved that ball of fur until it was his time to go. He was 14 years old and he proved my mom wrong when she told me that she didn't think Snare. my cat's name, would live as long as he had if I hadn't stepped in. I was just a kid but I made a big difference in the life of someone who needed someone in their corner to let them know that they were gonna be ok.

Memory for Mosspaw, Badgerfang, Swampkit, Blossomkit, Marigoldkit and Mintkit ❤️❤️ the poor little ones were unlucky to have the worst possible leader...
