Thanks for the well wishes all! Yes I am sick, but I am almost better. I think my voice sounds different in this video because I had just woken Up. I usually record audio in the afternoon, but I stayed up late last night finishing this settlement, and I did not have the energy to record the video. So I slept, and made the video as soon as I awoke this morning (which is why I published it later than usual today). Thanks for the concern, but I am fine! Expect a new epic killer sweet video tomorrow morning.

I'd trust them a lot more than mine, aswell. Mine is full of pillories where I use my intimidation mod to capture raiders/gunners, and then just take them to my settlement, line them up, pull my kremvhs tooth, and behead them all.

thatbatmancomic if I had to live in one of my settlements, I'd choose 'Sanctuary City'. A refurbished sanctuary hills that pretty much made the other settlements​ vassels. All the other settlements are forced​to supply the city with way more than it needs, especially considering that I have a whole cornfield and a forest, a literal forest, of Mutfruit plants that are always keeping the place stocked. The only problems I'd have would be, (1. Space, the mayor was going to build a giant hotel but gave up halfway through, (2. The prospect of being murdered in an alternate timeline for an.. experiment. And (3. Being stuck with *P R E S T O N (the settlement) G A R V E Y*

I gave Sunshine Tidings to the companions. I put a bunch of random chairs in the main house for everyone to gather around, assigned most everyone to defense, and spent a lot of time deciding who rooms together. Eventually I had to split that warehouse in three for Danse, Preston, and X6. I even has that little shack you used as a generator room for Old Longfellow, and a couple spaces for Ada and Codsworth to power down in Curie's cabin. Deacon has a little reading nook, Hancock has decided to take up gardening, and Cait spends a lot of time in Hancock's cabin. Like, a lot. I'm concerned.

Those picture frames are not malfunctioning; they're just really close-up pictures of eggplants. (Or mutfruit…) Sometimes, the thing that really says “this is a home”, is a picture of an eggplant. It really ties everything together!

For those that don't use place anywhere there's a way you can do this in the vanilla. Just use a concrete wall, the smallest and thinnest kind. Put it next to the fencing, hold down the button so it selects all of the fencing and then drag the wall straight down a bit. Simple stuff really.

In the kitchen building, the only complaint I had was that it was just a wall, I kind of wished you used the sloped walls that you use in the spot above the wall when you want a roof. But I loved the rest of the settlement.

Well done. I do like making a settlement my own but I also really like lore appropriate stuff. I do have a game design degree so I can appreciate the time and work it takes to make something really nice like this. Part of the fun though. I used to like doing it more than playing the game. I had this big project underway but starting into it I learned there was a size limit. I was on the ps4 version so I couldn't mod that out. I was going to do an entire second floor to a settlement. Building a floor that I could build onto. I did however make a walkway where the town could get up on and theoretically have a good vantage point to fun down raiders. Automatic turrets surrounded the town too. There wasn't one point you could charge in on my place that you wouldn't be rained down upon by a wall of bullets. Building was so much fun.

The minutemen following you around is due to We are the Minutemen. There's a mod to get rid of them if it bothers you but unless fast travelling gets rid of them you're stuck with them until they fall in combat otherwise.

All of the good settlements are the ones with a lot of open space. The castle, Abernathy farm, sunshine tidings co op, and the settlement beside the national guard training yard are my favorite places to build because of their wide open spaces

I turned this into a Vault dweller camp. Uses various vault dweller Vault suits. And it’s got a lot of Vault stuff. Gonna grab some covenant guard armour in a bit. Make it very vault Tec themed

Super detailed and lived in as always =) one small thing though - I’ve worked in a kitchen with those rubber traction mats, those things are hard to move on purpose much less accidentally, so unless your kitchen staff is all wearing power Armor they would be much straighter XD

I had a similar problem with the minute men flare causing the soldiers to follow me around the commonwealth. I believe it had something to do with the Everyone's Best Friend mod. There was a companion file in the data folder I had to delete in order to fix it, but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was.

Oxhorn I've seen 3 different settlements builds but like your over other. Ranger Dave Dave builds are all military camps, extreme mods, and the way he describes his Minutemen and methods, they're basically Brotherhood of Steel in the different uniform, not even about protecting the people. Your builds provide and protection. I showed your Minutemen video to my Wast Point Grad friend. He said the Minutemen still exist today as the National Guard. And your builds keeps to that. I was playing my best friend's Fallout 4 but when I get my own I plan to use some of your examples Wen building settlements, I wasn't very good at building them. Too many farmers not enough power, traders, or defense.

Nice settlement and fits the "Rebuilt" well. I do wonder how you wound up with the dining hall having broken glass though. In the latest version "the one with working lights" all the glass is nicely aged whole glass. Professor goodfeels spent a lot of energy over the years keeping the place up. You're having the stalker Minutemen glitch too!? I summoned them around Red Rocket against some rust devils (I'm considerably low level on my newest character) and they won't leave me alone! I'm just about done with my Sanctuary on this character (my first actually completed large settlement, R.I.P. old saves "I had no idea what I was doing" settlements.) and they will show up in the most random places lol.

Hey Ox, I got a very... rare situation in one of my settlements: one of the settlers was accusing the other of being a Synth. It was one of those Minutemen radiant quests.

So, I re-dug out Fallout 4 because I was feeling crafty, and in my recent recruitment for this settlement, I have had more Ghouls come into my Sunshine Tidings Co-Op than I normally did. Did anyone else get that? Because... I kind of like that. The Minutemen need more Ghouls. Like the NCR already do by New Vegas.

I've also had the problems with the purple non-textures when I put pictures down using OCD, and just like you they fix themselves when selected. The only theory I can come up with is the mod replaces the original pictures in the frames and wackiness ensues for some reason, I guess. I also take slight issue with your date table that the woman gets the salad; screw that noise... I want steak! :) Very nice rebuild, as always. I especially love the windmills of spite.

Wonderful settlement, Oxhorn. I would definitely like to have the mod that restores the houses for this location. I haven't yet begun to really build settlements as I envision them to be as future homes for the people I'll be recruiting, but I always notice those destroyed wooden buildings that you can do nothing with and it annoys me for the very reason that you described in this video (it just doesn't make sense that you can't restore or completely remove destroyed wooden buildings). Although I've not gotten into building settlements "for real" I always want to give settlers at least some half way decent housing until I have gathered material enough to do more and until I've completed the main story line (finding my son Shaun and dealt with the bad guys). It seems silly that I have to build a shack that takes more lumber than it would to simply add a wall and a roof to the broken house that's already sitting on the location. .......... I haven't had purple pictures in my game, but that could be because I've never placed any pictures by myself, I pick some up for later use, but - as mentioned above - I've yet to begin building settlements at a more thorough level. ... This strange effect could be related to one of your mods, maybe the mod that was made specifically for this settlement? Just a throw in the dark. I'm sure other players will have better suggestions. .......... Take care, may you get well soon, buddy.
