Someone on another vlog mentioned that sprinkling flour on the plants would keep grasshoppers from eating the plants since it would gum up their mouths.

Yes I have done that. I mentioned it in an earlier video and it worked well before I had blooms. I can do that again but can’t get it on the petals. Great way to fend them off!

I never realised that variety of scabiosa was the seed head lol its called pom pom here in nz and I just thought that was the flower 😂

Interesting about the Goldilocks rudbeckia. I started seed an planted out but I got a bunch of plants with singles too. 🤔

Wear gloves when you harvest and clean Bells of Ireland as they are thorny! Advice from experience 😂

I grew white mignonette for the first time this year too and was disappointed as well. I had it in both a full sun location, and a part shade location and neither did that well for me. I read that the seed pods could be used as well so I’m letting the flowers fade to see if that’s any better.

Thank you Christina. I have a lot of bug pressure this year, I’m wondering if because it’s been so dry the bugs are turning to the plants for some moisture. Just a crazy thought. 🌸💚🙃
