There´s a sunspot in my eye There´s a guild of thieves that weighs me down There´s a darkness within our reach And roots that reach beneath And in this darkness shall we crawl? Overwhelmed by the void Conjuring darkness black like coal Let the fire hatch out let the pain unfold Our life passes like idle chatter Life ebbs out like children stutter There´s a sunspot in my soul A millstone round my neck and a judas kiss There´s a darkness coming in A golden troth for your emptiness And we stray through infinite nothing Haunted by our dead weight dreams Conjuring darkness black like coal Let the fever hatch out let the moth unfold Our love passes like idle chatter Life ebbs out like children stutter Where there´s a will there´s a way But there´s no will and the path led astray

@Nemoribus I think that both things at the same time ;) are images from a ceremony of one of those 60's evangelic cults from Texas-Arizona where they allowed the snakes to bite them and later they recovered with the power of the faith, without requiring medical assistance. Anyway, the music and the images are so powerful and emotive.

great soundtrack for those moments alone when you are daydreaming of what brings you solace and bitterness. You should check the song Dissociable by Oliver Henry.
@mikeami6813 жыл бұрын
@LeFuturS Very likely that the video is not a "movie", but rather a home made video, of a church service. A sect of Pentecostal practiced "snake handling" (those are rattle snakes in the video) and also drank strychnine believing that their faith would protect them. When the obvious would happen, they believed that the persons "faith of spirit" wavered. by the way, my favorite of their new album is the christmas song "We are Dust (No yule this year my love)"

@diggervonzipper77554 жыл бұрын
Snake handlers are a subset of Pentecostalism. They base their faith in the Acts 1 experience with the presence of the Holy Ghost evidenced by hyperglossolalia. This is typically referred to as an “in filling”. In this ecstatic state, believers are promised by Mark 16:17-18 to be impervious to poison. Many also drink water laced with arsenic as proof of their faith.
