Both Karthik and sundari cannot give up each other.This is how the story goes.They fight like tom and jerry but end up with different understanding after watching this episode.If they want they can leave each other by giving various reasons.But both of them are pretending that they are forced to live together by taking Tamil as a reason.Really don't understand the logic.

Thamiz needs to know / to be with her biological father. Adults' problems should not affect children. After Thamiz grown up, if she were to know that the truth was never revealed to her about her biological father, she might start to hate Sundari the foster mother, that she has starved Thamiz's father - daughter relationship. So, it should not happen especially the child is safe with the father. Only if it is not safe for Thamiz, it is quite understandable to protect the child.

Master instead of correcting the child turning everything against sundari. Even to say not to take gift to school straightly he said sundari will scold.
