Super fun to paddle with you.. honestly didn't think we can really reach that spot coz it was so far from where we launched, and no one has ever paddled that route before.. thanks for pushing me all the way every few minutes till we eventually got there hahah cant wait to explore more places together!

It was very fun indeed, with a sense of adventure, as we weren't sure what's it like until we reached there (couldn't find anything online about that particular spot prior to that) 😅
Wonderful video! You and Hong Ray are invited to come on a powerboat ride with me to the southern islands, where you can explore several cool places via SUP!

Another great video. Love the low position shots. Scenery is nice and I didn’t know there is such place in Singapore before watching this video. Too bad didn’t get a close shots of the otter. Next time bring me and Karthick there. We would like to eat noodles there 😄😄
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
Sure, let's SUP together next time! The toilet there has no shower facilities, that's very inconvenient but i think the sceneries more than made up for it. I wish i could zoom in at those otters using my Gopro, haha!

Thanks bro. One tip, the toilet there has no shower facilities, therefore not very convenient for sea activities😅 but the sceneries there are totally worth it.

Very cool place! The tide was super low when you started.. guess it makes it easier to set off
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! 😄 It was kind of tough actually, due to strong wind kept pushing us back to shore (not obvious in the video), glad that we pulled it off anyway. We realized later on why Changi Beach wasn't popular for kayakers / SUPers, i.e. no shower facilities available in the public toilets, unlike the likes of Sembawang Beach, Pasir Ris Beach, East Coast Park etc
@Fishaholicboy2 жыл бұрын
@@AlleyCat888 ahh.. so it’s not as convenient! Being at the tip of the island, I would imagine the wind and current to be stronger!
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
@@Fishaholicboy Yes, it was indeed stronger towards the end point, but still less treacherous compared to the Southern Islands of SG. I wish i could go south one day.

What device did you use to catch the drone like view? Awesome video again!
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
I used Insta360 One R camera attached to a 3-meter long selfie stick to create the drone-like view. You can see the setup at 06:30. One X2 is their latest model, but i think they are releasing a new model tomorrow!

Nice video. How easy is it to know the laws for Singapore regarding where you can and cannot go by paddleboard? Do the police ever question what you are doing?
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
You can find the info here : www.mpa.gov.sg/web/portal/home/port-of-singapore/circulars-and-notices/detail/pc11-11 Sometimes they may question if you appear to be illegal immigrant 🤣

Just to add on to Alley Cat's response, I have been stopped by the PCG before as well but as long as you have your NRIC with you and you are able to clearly state your itinerary, you'll be fine.

Nice video! Just curious if you all were paddling against the current or with the current? Because we tried paddling(ours is the inflatable kayak not SUP though) against the current and we were already exhausted near Changi Exhibition Centre.
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
The waves came side way, i.e. kept pushing us towards the shore. On the way there, we had to paddle on our right side all the way to counter the waves; on the way back, we got to paddle left side all the way to counter it 😅. Should have launched from Car Park 7, could have saved us some energies.

Hmm looks like having a car would be most useful for iSUP. Difficult for non-car users though
@AlleyCat8882 жыл бұрын
Yes, very inconvenient for non-car user, because you got to tie the SUP bag, manual pump, change, everything on that board when you SUP, and cleaning up after you return will be a bit messy too. Hmmm, maybe i should make a SUP video on that (without car).
