I First... I have to reiterate if this is considering the classes are 1 v X'ing or if the classes are in a party.... technically any class can be anywhere on the tier lest if they have the "right help". But lets assume you are 1 v X'ing. So Lets first ask "what makes a class good for world pvp? . The answer? is its ability to give and receive at the same time. IF a class is in heavy combat 1v2+ can it cc/block/heal and deal killing damage at the same time, the answer for example "Mage and Lock" is no. Both classes are actually C tier not S tier. IF they are given the high ground yes they can perform above average, but by themselves when they are in a most average pvp fights they will have a rough time in any 1v2+ world pvp combat. The only S tiers in the game are actually Demon Hunter and MM, Demon hunter far surpasses any class in the game at giving and receiving damage. 40% heal every 10 seconds with consume magic and the ability to control your initiations with your mobility and burst on a low cd... They are can 1 v X AMAZINGLY.... You also put balance druid at the bottom and while it is D when you go full haste build, its actually A Tier for world pvp when you go full mastery build. You average 1.5 - 2 mil starsurges and can instantly one shot people with high almost 0 casting. Use your mobility to play around your alignments and kill in seconds. (going to make a tier list based on this, but again you have to judge if you are by yourself or having help, classes will get jumbled a lot on any tier lest, so you have to be very generalistic on their ability to fight)

I feel like a true WPvP tier list is impossible because there are so many variables. It seems like this tier list leans more towards 1v1 potential, but the biggest things in WPvP are mobility/reset options (immunities/CC) and the ability to cheese with terrain/NPCs. Damage and self heals don't matter as much considering everyone can pick up extra buffs (elixirs, food, etc.) and health pots. Not to mention all of the WPvP consumables and engineering. Stealth is the best ability in the game for WPvP (obviously), but you know what's even more broken? Stealth *and* flight form on the same class. For that reason alone I can't agree with Boomie being D tier. It's the only way to be completely immune to net/whirling surge in War Mode. I'm guessing you're just biased since you're a Boomie player so you're focusing a little more on their lack of damage/1v1 potential, but it's insane to ignore that it has the two best individual utility abilities in WPvP. Outlaw Rogue is a perfect example of a spec that is always broken in WPvP though. Even when its damage is shit, if you buff up and throw a health pot on there. Can it self heal through a 1v3 like Ret? No. But it can choose any fight it wants, it's basically immune to knockback with grappling hook (assuming there is a path available lol) which is massive in WPvP where knockbacks are extremely important, you can set up into your own WPvP cheese with how much CC you have (Back in DF my favorite move was Blind or Kidney into Sticky Warp Grenade to jump someone off a cliff). There's just so little counterplay when everything you can do is from stealth. Granted, the Subterfuge "nerf" definitely hurts (aka Blizz failing to bug fix the Skyriding bug with Subterfuge so they made everything break stealth now, instead of being able to mount/hearth/net in stealth like you used to be able to). But realistically with a Blind and 4 grappling hooks you can get far enough away from anything to just drop combat and wait in stealth before hearthing somewhere safer. Most of my time in the game is spent in WPvP and Epic Battlegrounds (which are very comparable to WPvP in terms of item/consumable knowledge, the only real difference is no flying) so I think I have a pretty good idea of the actual WPvP meta. I've actually seen you in WPvP before so I know you're serious about it, but many people are surprised at how poorly their skills translate over from arenas or RBGs into WPvP. One of my communities has done a few formal 40v40 WPvP events against guilds of multi-glads and long time PvPers and we always wipe the floor with them. Doesn't matter how much better they are at the rated modes if they don't know how to optimize gear/consumables/talent builds for WPvP (including the amount of lag you need to prepare for, which also vastly changes the strategies because a lot of regular strategies just don't work when you can't chain 3 abilities together). Obviously no disrespect to them, and clearly they'd be capable of learning, but it's always funny to see them realize how outmatched they are when none of their practical PvP knowledge actually applies when someone throws down an engineering item that pulls everyone into a laggy cleave fest lol.

I would definitely put enhancement as s tier. With stormweaver they do not die 1v1 except to really just shadow priests. Can easily live for a wild in 1v2 while Maybe getting a kill in ascendance

this is true, if my enhance shaman has CDs available, you would need at least 3 people to kill me. 2 are going to die instantly as soon as I pop ascendance.

You cannot generalise like that. It depends on server. On Turalyon Alliance almost never get a PVP crate. Horde get 99% of them.

You would have had to play very poorly to think bm is C tier, or you were expecting to casually 1v4 and maybe struggled a bit, that ranking legit makes zero sense. Also, ranking sub as higher than asassn, because of reset potential? Maybe you havent played sub in a while but assn has much better reset potential now since it gets 2 vanishes, sub typically doesnt have enough points to take double vanish, but even if they do they dont have cdr anymore or any of the healing they used to have and its damage is much lower than assn, make it make sense

Arcane mage have decent survival abilities? Umm, are ya talking about removing temporal shield? Fire got cut, frost (since long time fav blizz fav kid) have 2 ice blocks, with recent changes they will make arcane even more miserable then it is dude :(

Voidweaver disc is my favorite by far. Basically unkillable with decent damage.

@@zbo1 pretty much! Void eruption certainly helps with aoe. Power word death creates voidlings when you hit a target with 20% or less HP. A group of them really helps with passive damage output.

The big damage comes from mind blast. Penance makes the entropic rift explosion hit harder so the goal is to penance then smite to get another penance in while keeping dots up and attonement on yourself. Then also using catharsis and mind games and you can actually kill stuff.

Horde is a dead faction in PvP no matter where you go. I try to win a random BG for the bonus each day and it takes me at least 3 to 4 hours.

Affli lock is no S tier for sure in world pvp. Low survivalbility and mobility make it B tier. Most of melee can follow your portal and you are done. Sure, you can have fun vs under geared players, but vs decent you are going to have no fun time. Decent Rogue, DH and MM hunters erase you in a seconds. The only good map for aff to fight is Isle of Sire becasue you can use Experimental go pack, which saves your a**

Kinda sucks that they can just turn off war-mode or better yet use follower dungeons to never die Also ele shaman is actually bonkers in w pvp because of ghost wolf w/ snare removal. You can just pop earth ele and run away as soon as the enemy pops cds and they will stay in combat unless they kill it lol. Even if they kill it, you can pop fire ele from 40yds away and re-engage with your own cds. Hex even dismounts if they aren't flying yet, which is amazing because of spell batching causing mount cast to not be interrupted. The only real problems are from asn rogues and from prot warriors only because you can't escape easily. You can easily run from any heals and from aff lock, and it handedly kills everything else. Ele beats everything in S+A tier 1v1 barring 2 ties. Definitely S tier given room to kite when they have snare removal, static totem, and remove curse, imp hex, and improved lesser healing wave to self imo
