Good info but perhaps also worth considering the interaction of the wind AND tide. As a sometime sea kayaker I know that with a strongish wind when the wind direction is moving against the direction of the tidal flow it can lead to very choppy confused water ….and conversely wind with tide can smooth out the water conditions.

Hi Mike, yes this is a very good point and something maybe we should've touched on in the video. No doubt we will be making all of these videos again in time to make sure they are fresh and up-to-date and I will include this new information in those videos. i look at wind and tides before paddling I learn this during scuba diving and sailing we have this thing called dive plan and sailing plan
