Excellent video! Probably the first time I've seen a video where the can motor was opened up and worked on. Have done it myself a few times usually to replace a fried arm. Didn't have anything to guide me other than my eyes and the desire to try. Glad I did because then the ability to salvage parts became reality and tweaking or "blue-printing" the endbell became a "thing". Lots of factory assembled Turbos had mangled motor busses and that always bothered me so I'd reshape them often. Sometimes they break off to the point where there's not enough left to make contact with the hanger. Anyways I actually found this video relaxing! A couple decades ago I used to run a Turbo Street Corvette with 23 tooth crown against my friends SG+ 25 tooth with BMW M1 body. Back straight was about 20 feet long and at the end I'd be right there with him and sometimes in front. Of course he'd leave me behind in the curves and I could never lap him. Didn't matter it was great fun! Understanding how things work and why they work the way that they do is enjoyable to me and this video is an amazing example of the knowledge it takes a long time to acquire for most people. Agreed. I've sort of stayed away from the SRT/BDR/S7 chassis because I was turned off by the strap-can motors having a big chunk of unnecessary metal in them. I didn't realize it was aluminum until seeing this video. I also wasn't sure you could swap lower ohm G-timed arms in them this easily. I may have to reconsider and put some S7s in the lineup.

Yes, they come apart a lot easier than one would guess. It's been awhile since I've taken one apart, just haven't had a need to, but if I recall it used to be possible to even buy replacement brush and brush holders a long time ago. I think I did swap a damaged one or two. At any rate swapping armatures isn't hard at all. So even a can motor that doesn't run has value for parts. The only thing that seems like it would be difficult is swapping magnets. They're glued in. Probably a way to do that too, maybe heat. Fun stuff!
