The colors of the turtles are actually accurate to the animation models rather than the promo art but I do think Mikey should be a more faded shade of green than he is (but it comes across better in the renders than the product shots since those are darkly lit). I'll have to see in person but currently I've probably never pre-ordered something so fast in my life, these guys are all I needed to make my collection complete

Yeah, not crazy about the plastic chains at all. Let's hope that Mikey gets a set of chucks with real chains. That figure definitely deserves them.

Skin tones look correct if you look at the heads 4 pack collection it looks ok. Probably need to see in person to tell. The first picture looks off but probably due to the lighting of the photography try going off the 4 pack heads. Also if you look at the actual cartoon show art vs a promotional poster art the colors vary, I’d compare it to cartoon episodes art.

Pre ordered all four on BBTs I really hope they dive deeper in this line like give us shredder, han, April, Casey & etc. Neca had years to do 2003 but they chose 80s/mirage comics

Yes! Ngl, would be sweet to see them get to do Silver Sentry, Leatherhead, and the many cool variants of Baxter Stockman, maybe in one supreme deluxe figure. I also remember an episode where TMNT fight some nasty mutants, Razorfist, Stonebiter, and Quarry. They'd look awesome as action-figures!

Yeah I've passed on most NECA offerings because they didn't seem like they wanted to do 2003, or at least not anytime soon. It's cool they do make great stuff for the live action films too, but with Tatsu on the way I don't think they have much else people will actively buy (maybe a Secret of the Ooze April?) otherwise I'd say they should move on to something else. Since Super7 is doing 2003 for the time being and NECA covered the movie trilogy, maybe do some 2007 movie figures for the 20th anniversary in a few years? That'd be awesome

@@LeopoldLitchenstein they already moved on with last Ronin & mirage line I know they’re goal for toon line is over 100 figures so I know that line is going stay forever

@Rich575 I did get the base Ronin figure from that, but I don't have room for the full set of Turtles like the rest, so I haven't gotten them yet. And I figured they were aiming to do every single 87 character no matter how minor they were, so I'm not surprised to hear they're going for 100. I just tend to pass on them because I've got zero connection to 87 and even then, I have their first go at the Turtles and that's all I really needed

6:09 bro look at the show clips and shots. U looking at promo art😂 if that was the case, you would think the neca 1987 turtles were “too dark” cuz u would be basing it off their promotional posters. Not a valid critique bro.

Good point! But even so, at least for me anyway, the color skins to the actual figures that Super 7 showed weren't differentiated enough to individualize each figure. Mikey and Raph were too close. Mikey has his own distinct tint in the show. Either way, the figures do look banging. 2003 is my favorite rendition of TMNT. Not sure if I'm all in on these yet even though I pre-ordered. Would love to see Mezco's take on 2003 TMNT, and NECA's. Thanks for the feedback

We'll see the final color test once the figures actually drop. Still a long way to go for that. If I do a review video on the figures, I promise not to spend 7 minutes talking about colors lol

yeah the part that you said about Mikey is correct but what you were looking at was a shot from like promotional material and not from the actual cartoon, which was slightly different

Thanks for the clarification! The show definitely did a good job of slightly differentiating the Turtles. I think Donnie looked the most distinct in terms of color. Another great rendition of the TMNT where the Turtles have distinct looks is the Fortnite skins. Those would make killer action figures!
