Use a weight on the opposite end of the ruler to keep it in place

@@sharonjones7329 hello Thank you for your suggestion In order for the audience to be more accurate, cut two numbers on both sides of the color. I did not rotate the mat. I rotated the fabric.♥️🌹🌹

@@Masi_Diy As an alternative, leave the mat and fabric as-is. Rotate the ruler, line it up on the next measurement at the *top* of the fabric instead of at the bottom. Then you are always making the long cuts on the side of the ruler that is safest for you, and you can trim in the more-awkward way or mark with the pen and line up the ruler to trim.

Wonderful idea, thanks for sharing. Had to shut off the sound, very annoying music. If you need music please use something so discrete that it is almost not there or just have your natural work sounds. ;)

in the next video she shows how to construct a template, but I think the Creative Grids 15 degree Triangle ruler would work. The measurements are VERY close to her template.
