What I love about my room is that before I was even born, my two brothers stayed in here. Then when I was born, we all shared. The two of them have moved out and live their lives and now, this room is my own. Every area here has some sort of memory. I remember one of my brothers leaning on the door of our closets, talking to his girlfriend at midnight when he thought we were asleep. Me, a tiny child only in elementary, passing a drawing from the top bunk of the bed to my eldest brother as a way of saying sorry for something I did. I remember my eldest brother giving me an old peso bill from his desk (which was soon burried under papers and whatnot when he left), and him giving me our brother's scapular saying to wear it for him while he was away at the navy. Now, years later, I won't deny it's changed. A lot. The walls are a different colour, there's different posters and designs on the wall, there are different desks, the study room connected to this one became a storage (I'm currently cleaning it out to make it my own "creation station" though), there are new beds, the bunk bed long gone, and it feels a bit too big for just me, even if it's been about five years since my brothers moved out. So yeah, memories. And promises of new things.

My room has light blue walls, a sink (yes, a working sink), pin board with my favorite selve made art, a drawing desk which I use to stand on and work because I need a better posture, it needs a new top though, thinking of a chalcboard, so I can use it as a planner and nothing slides all over the place with a ledge at the bottom, so nothing falls off, a gigantic closet which I use to store most of my stuff, a couple of boxes, a high bed with some tiny closets underneath, and a chair, which I use to throw all of my clothing on.

I have so many drawings and posters on my walls, I have about a whole walls full of drawings, I have a unicorn bedcover (bought from IKEA) lots of pillows/teddies, a stereo, LOADS of CDs, a neon blue gold clock, two sets of LED lights over my bed, 4 dream catchers (planning to get loads more), a couple of comics on my stereo, a pin board where I've drawn little doodles cut them out and blue tack them on there and I keep my belts on there, a Melted Wax Crayon canvas on my wall (You were the one who inspired me to make on PJ! Thanks!), two boxes of art stuff, about a million old Monster cans (which I cut out the tops and use them for pencil/pen holders which I have about 9 of them) and a keyboard on my desk. Oooo! And I have two glow ghost lamp things (also bought from IKEA) and a 'fairy glow jar'. I think that's enough to say.

i recently redecorated my room and i love it now! my walls got a lovely light caramel colour and it got more personal. I've finally purchased fairy lights and gotten bookshelves above my bed, so it's more cozy now. I like to think of my bed as the place of hidden childish secrets. I hide my old teddy bear in the pillows, and i've got glow-in-the-dark-stars on the shelf just above my head. They can only be seen when you lay in the bed. Also i've gotten some adorable old-school postcards to hang up on my poster wall which already has a photography from MoMa, a poster of my fav band and maps of the underground in New York and Paris (I also got of Berlin and London but they're on the inside of my wardrobe)

I just noticed my room is full of warm colours. Wooden doors, cupboards, desk and shelves, a browny sort of carpet and cream walls plastered with assorted posters. Even though I would rather a blue bedroom, being surrounded by what looks like mid autumn is pretty cool. :) (It's also insanely messy and the amount of clay and paintbrushes on my desk is getting out of hand.)

I have moved 4 times since childhood. I now live in a home with my husband and his friends. I did, however, insist that I have a room that was just completely mine and I love it. I've had this particular room since my teenage years and, though I've added to it, it is still the room of my childhood that represents my interests and imagination. My husband calls it my "nerd room"....he is not wrong. My library, movie and book memorabilia, collection of fantasy swords, replica of the millennium falcon, all of my drawings and old science fiction short stories. plushy star wars toys, my hammock, my guitars, my 20 or so notebooks with ideas, music, stories, lyrics, and stream of thought writings, basically it is all of my eccentricities and weirdness encompassed in a single room. Though the rest of my home has been devoured by the men that I live with (there is literally three pieces of taxidermy including a rattlesnake that was a wedding present displayed in the rest of my house) that one room is my escape to be imaginative and creative and just a bit weird when I want to be.:)

I haven't painted my bedroom for years, so it's still pink and purple with Disney princess wallpaper (I really need to repaint it soon...) I have a large window with these pink curtains (I need to change those curtains too 😂), and i have a wooden desk on the wall next to it. Next to my desk is a tall, narrow wooden bookshelf completely stuffed with books (since I am a huge bookworm), with the very top of the shelf containing old clay artwork, some trophies, and picture frames. Next to my bookshelf is what I like to call my "Artist's Corner," (even though it's not a corner; it's just a wall 😂) It's where I have all of my drawing sketchbooks (6 of them, actually), portfolios stuffed with old artwork from school, canvases that are yet to be used, paintbrushes, watercolor paint tubes, a small wooden mannequin (in case i need to draw bodies so that'll help me draw them), and other miscellaneous art tools. I've been a huge artist since I was a child, and that corner is where I'm usually the happiest (with the exception of my bookshelf, of course). Then next to that is a rack where all my jackets and clothes are. On the next wall, it has my door leading in to my bedroom, and next to that is a large closet that occupies most of that wall. On the next wall, I have a mirror hanging on it and next to that is a wooden dresser that holds all my pajamas and such, and then I have a large king sized bed that occupies most of my room. I don't have a bed frame, so I just have the mattress laying on the floor. On my walls are just anime and Harry Potter posters, pictures from my childhood, a poster where i have little things from my 8th grade year, and ribbons and medals from my old school.

My bedroom is split in half, reflecting who I was, and who I am now. Two walls are green, my old favourite colour, and the other two are magenta, my current favourite colour. My main source of lighting is the string of Christmas lights that I have hung along the walls. There are plenty of movie posters, ticket stubs, artwork, and interesting findings plastered about. My shelves are somewhat neatly filled with books, movies, and video games that I've collected over the years. I feel my room does a pretty good job of showing who I really am. There are three orlando bloom posters, 8 doctor who posters, concert tickets, a white desk, an overflowing dresser, a fuzzy window seat with my pillows and books (reading spot), the window seat also has storage for my art supplies and books (because my ceiling tall bookshelf doesn't hold them all), my double bed with polka dot duvey, door covered in notes from friends, closet containing my stuffed animals, board games, and random crap I cant be bothered to find a spot for. i have moved many times and this is the first time I’ve felt extremely happy with my room. I have plain white walls and this ugly carpet but I can work with it. When you walk into my room there is a smol light pink chair with a even smoller ottoman that I normally read in. Next I have a book case, filled to the brim with all of my favourite novels. Then I have my single bed which has a coloured lamp next to it which I whack on at night. Then I have my mini locker which is my bedside table full of random stuff. Then I have my desk which is where I draw and do my school work. Next is my piano which I love and underneath it is my trumpet. Then I have my boring old dressers. My room is amazing. I have my walls covered with posters and painting etc. Xbox, PS3, wii and Nintendo 64 , and tons of games and movies it's amazing. I have a big black beanbag with a giant tv on the wall. Bookshelves filled with trinkets and books and massive windows. Oh and California king bed, the biggest kind of bed that I know of. My walls are grey, the trim around the ceiling/doors is black, and my doors are white. On my walls, I have an ever-growing album collection because my favorite part of buying a physical CD is the album artwork. I also have a few posters/drawings hanging up. I have Christmas lights overhanging my desk for late night writing/drawing sessions, and just because I love Christmas. I have a loft bed, and I use the storage space under it as a place for my dogs to sleep. I have a few bookshelf/cube storage type things that are jam packed with books and movies and art supplies. I have a wardrobe type thing where I keep all of my favorite pajamas and such. My room is my favorite place to be because it's full of things I love and it feels cozy to me. :)

my room is in the roof space if my house with a spiral staircase. it is unusually shaped with lots of angled walls and floor levels to it and overall looks like a big tent. there are even two exposed wooden posts propping it up like sticks. it has windows on the angled ceiling that have a big view of the sky! there are also lots of stars hanging from the high ceiling on white threads. there are fairy lights, and bunting flags, and a Christmas tree with a cardboard unicorn head on top. lots of posters, drawings ans souvenirs on my walls (there will soon be a PJ one) and of course a bed and a set of speakers. love your zen space too peej!

I have certainly much more stuff than you appear to have, and I have also been trying to reduce the amount of stuff. I have two floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and one half height, as well as stacks of books which don't fit in the shelves...Then there is a wardrobe, a telescope, some weird lamps, my bed, a giant knight (chess piece) and some instruments. I have plenty of stuffed animals, as well as things everyone expects the world to have outgrown (numerous cassette tapes). That is the stuff that I feel like I need in my room, though there are also 400 nick knacks.

My room is a little box - constantly messy and plastered with posters and memories (and a picture of Elisabeth Sladen in the middle because I love her more than life). There's a lot of pop culture ephemora and clothes all over the floor. I have a chair as my bedside table next to my double bed with a framed True Blood print on top of a stack of magazines (and other things) and then there's my box of records/CD's with Leader of the Pack by the Shangri-Las right at the front (ily babies). I have a Les Miserables poster on the wall above my bed and books stacked on my desk.

My room's tiny but I like it. My bed takes up a third of the floor space and it's only a twin. One wall is covered in drawings, pictures, memories, and quotes, though a little less than half of it is the two mirror doors to my black hole of a closet. Another wall holds the flags of all the countries I'm from, which is 13, and there's also a dresser against that wall and a makeshift bookshelf made of crates as well as my bedroom door. The next wall has a huge dry erase map of the world poster that I've drawn on, circled places and written things down and it's hanging above my desk, which is cluttered with all kinds of things. The wall my bed it pushed up against has a big window so not much can go there. The head of my bead is a bookshelf area with books along with other little trinkets I've gotten over the years. My bed, where I spend most of my time has a few pillows and stuffed animals, many of which I've gotten rid of over the years. Wow this is long...

This week, I went from being a hoarder to a borderline minimalist. For the longest time, I was too depressed to do anything about the state of my room, no matter how angry my parents got with me. But a few days ago, it all inexplicably became too much and at about 1:00AM I picked up all of my clothes, folded them neatly, and put them into the dresser drawers that had been empty for ages. Now, I have a massive pile of bags to take to Goodwill stacked next to my bed and a similarly gigantic pile of bags of trash on the other side of the room. In a few days, I am going to take these bags to Goodwill and to the dumpster, respectively. I also hope to repaint my room sometime soon; while Oriental Coral is a nice color in theory, it doesn't quite work on the walls of a bedroom.

My room is not small but not large. You could call it cozy. It's got light blue walls and a white ceiling. My bed is along the far end of the wall, and the duvet is white, blue, and green. My rug is pastel colors. I have a desk going along the right wall, and a rocking chair along the left. My desk and rocking chair are never used taking into account the always have things on them such as clothes, pencils, notebooks, cameras, etc. I'm kind of obsessed with your room though. My room has green walls, one in a slightly darker shade of green, with beautiful patterns of falling leaves spiralling to the ground stenciled on. I have fairy lights made of red leaf skeletons, and currently some rather christmasy paper chains. I love my bedroom as it's my inner sanctum and it's where I am my most productive and creative. I can get away from the world and write, make KZbin videos, play my ukulele and read. I have to maintain a balance between tasteful decor that matches and my nerdy posters and mementoes suck on my wardrobe doors.

Besides the colorful artworks and random posters and different bows hanging on rainbows of yarn and a distinct coffee scent, my room is also haunted. Aha, that makes it more fun right? xD

My room is kinda small, with a steely bunk bed in the left corner, Pokemon sheets on the top bunk and blue, white, and green striped sheets on the bottom. There's a little green footlocker and a pink dresser next to that. Then, there's a wooden shelf where I keep my shoes. There's a huge white bookshelf against the next wall, filled with books, and next to that is a tan desk with multiple wooden shelves. My sister's old wooden dresser leans against the next wall, with a small cabinet above it that my dad made from scratch. Next to that is a blue bean bag chair and the closet, and finally a few grey boxes with extra knick-knacks. Beside that is the door. There is not a wall in the room that doesn't have at least one poster on it, whether it be Minecraft, Borderlands, 5SOS, Cherri Bomb, All Time Low, Green Day, or just dogs, there are posters and books everywhere. The walls are a periwinkle with a short stripe of royal blue at the very top.

My room has had an underwater theme, yellow grainy paper on the top half, bottom has bubbles and sea wavey thingies and in the middle is a straip telling the story of the rainbow fish. Not to mention that whenever I found any sea life stickers (dolphins especially) I would stick them to my wall :3

My room is a Work in Progress (for the second time). It's a dark purple room and the walls have a framed Harry Potter art and a timeline of selfies with me and her friend. My shelves are very odd, one is dedicated to Harry Potter items and one has my radio, with cds, ds games and a My Neighbour Totoro DVD. One is filled with an assortment of various Christmas gifts that I'm sorting out now. Under my shelves is a little cubby where I keep blankets, pillows, school books and notebooks (also used as a fort). My bed is quite small with a galaxy cat duvet, fairy lights wrapped around a bed frame. My desk has various pictures and items that I liked. My door is covered in posters and notes from my friends. It's not much, but it's home. Sorry this is so long, and so late.

My bedroom is very smallish and still looks like it belong to a 5 year old version of me. The walls are light pink and lavender and I have shiny purple curtains. My floor (or the tiny amount of space that isn't taken up by furniture) is usually scattered with paints, pencils, pens, and various other art supplies as well as a large collection of my failed attempts at painting and notebooks filled with poetry, doodles, and song lyrics. The wall behind my bed is practically covered in inspirational posters and pictures of friends. I still have glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling above my bed At the foot of my bed is an old white bookshelf, where I keep my favorite novels (most of which written by Maggie Stiefvater) and my collection of the original Nancy Drew mystery series. My small closet space is stuffed with my old dance costumes (I've been taking ballet lessons for nine years), and the wall across from my bed is covered in posters and mementos (such as props, a few costume pieces, and bits of the set) from the musicals that I've been in at a local summer theatre. I live in an old farm house and the door to the attic is in my bedroom, so I have to keep a pile of pillows up against the attic door to stop the draft of hot air in the summer and cold air in the winter. My desk is an ugly green color and is normally covered in old school projects and textbooks (I'm cyberschooled, so I do all of my schoolwork in my bedroom). My headboard is always cluttered with library books, CDs, and notebooks (I have A LOT of notebooks), as well as any current craft projects I'm working on, such as knitting a scarf. My dresser holds all of my clothes, even though I pretty much just wear a variation of the same outfit everyday. Sorry this ended up being super long, lol.

My room has two white walls and one black one and the other has a wallpaper of a city, and at night the lights in the windows can be turned on, it looks really beautiful! And I sleep in a bed that is up high and my desk is underneath it. There are bookshelves lining the wall and on one of the black wall there is a quote saying: I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams. I also have a really cool mirror, it's curtained off with some cool fabric (I made the curtains myself) and it's a floor to ceiling mirror also a wardrobe. My ceiling is slanted and I have skylights as my windows, you can't close them so I get a beautiful view of the sunset sometimes. The only downside is that I have to go on a ladder to get up and down,'y room is a renovated attic. Hope you like it!

I have a pretty small room. Bottom half of the walls are green, top half cream. The overlapping of the paint colours is covering in CD covers. My bed is wooden pink and it has magazine clippings stuck to the head. My walls are covered in posters of bands, Doctor Who, Sherlock and KZbinrs. It also features a poster with all my name tags and stuff from the environmental conferences I've been too. Then there's my book shelf which is full of statues, sovereigns and framed photos of family and friends.

I plan on making my room entirely black and white :) I find those colours calming and aesthetically pleasing. One wall (the dream wall as I call it) will have a tapestry and my bed will be against that wall. The wall directly across from it will have my black dresser which will contain my clothing and makeup. It'll also have my white bookcase which has novels, games and other nerdy objects I like. The wall inbetween the two walls I mentioned (it has a window) will have photographs, paintings, drawings, etc then the last wall will have my closet door and the door leading into my room but it'll also have my dreamcatcher and other cute little wall decor things :D i hope that made sense

My room is a confused mess of wanting to be a little more grown up, and wanting to live in the Batcave really badly. On the left side of my room are my paintings, my tools to do those paintings, black and white photography, books staked upon books, and my papers and documents for legal adults. If you follow the bridge of fairy lights to fthe right side is a poster for Arkham Asylum featuring The Joker who's foaming green liquid from his mouth. The poster gives way to a blast of bat stickers I hand stuck to my ceiling that lead to the door way. It also has all my action figures, plushies, Game Of Thrones posters, and my favorite tv series sets on red shelves. My room sort of gives the impression that my mind is split in half.

I love the way you speak, it's like a constant poem. Everything is so beautifully phrased. Anyways, I hev three rooms actually: The one with my mum is small and cozy, the one with my dad is quite big and still a work in progress since we just moved there this summer and the one with my dad's girlfriend is the biggest one of the three, it just has a couch and a bed because we don't go there often, she lives too far away frm my school and stuff. I like that it changes from time to time and I have way too many stuff to fit in just one room.

My room is filled with old vintage furniture and knick knacks. I have movie posters covering my walls and a half finished painting that I should really finish one of these days:P My room is also covered with tripods and filming equipment. I have a bookshelf filled to the brim with books and movies. Something extremely strange about my room is that I have not one, but two sewing machines in it. One was my Grandmas and doesn't work anymore, and then the newer one I actually use.

My room is quite small. Wall is filled with posters and pictures. I have a pile of laundry at the corner of my room most of the time for me to fold. My study desk is messy with my school stuff but I clear it once a week. And I have my guitar and ukulele lying against the table. I have a single bed which sheets rotate from blue to red (those are the only bedsheets I have). So yeah thats my room!

My bedroom used to be filled with posters from my favourite bands but this year I turned it into a garden (not really, I just have a lot of flowers and trees stuff in here, not real ones obviously, those go outside). But I still have some of my posters inside my wardrobe. That doesn't mean I like the bands less than I did a year ago, changing something doen't mean forgetting how it was before. And the name of the couch could be Charlotte or Ophelia. Ophelia The Couch. Has a nice ring to it, I think ;)

i have a room adored in memories. every object is a odd little being with a story duct taped to the side. my sleeping square sits proudly front and center in my quarters, surrounded by the many dressers and drawers holding these tiny blips of time.my desk (i don't use) sits in one corner, the book case in another. the purple paint of childhood hangs on the walls and the pictures paint a story of my obsession with art. it's my cave, which in my 8 years of inhabitance i have become quite fond of. the smallest and most important bit, however, is the stars on the ceiling that remind me of the sky a couple layers of plaster away, of which i must emerge from my abode to visit now and again.
