In retrospect, it's really easy to say what Matt's big dumb mistake was - you can't say that a game lacks genre-defining qualities when it _isn't out, yet._

It should be noted that the SBFs do acknowledge how differently they used to thin k of Overwatch than they do now. I forget which episode it is, but it's when someone emails and asks if there are any games they used to not care about and now love.
