This is funny. I've had this boat on my copart watchlist for a few weeks. Thanks for saving me from making a painful bid on what could have been a good rebuild candidate, without the more detailed view. If you go for it, you're a braver man than I.
@dodgeguyz3 жыл бұрын
If they didn’t further destroy it by dragging it on the ground then it may be worth it. But right now, with the gel coat damage, and damage to the prop and rudder it’s only good for parts. People are getting carried away with CoPart rebuilds!

Malibu the blue and white one looks very nice hope 2 see it on the channel that would be cool . keep up the good work those copart walk around very interesting nice a lot of builds . stay safe and healthy.
@AsherTAlon3 жыл бұрын
Definitely the fire damaged one, looks like a built that will end up as surprisingly easy fix. By the way, you left the engine bay open.
@ameyers673 жыл бұрын
I'd be worried about the ecm and the wiring harness the most. Also the prop shaft is probably jacked.
@BobWiersema3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't even consider it. The heat from the fire is going to cause lamination problems with the fiberglass. No way to fix that. You could spend a bunch of money fixing it only to end up with a compromised hull that cracks in a new place every time you hit a wave.
@ChowderMountain3 жыл бұрын
Sure looks like a space heater to me, not a battery tender.

the melted electronics are gonna be a huge headache, and pricey

For the right price its a go but from what ive been seeing you post in the past on these auctions, someone will take it out of a reasonable price range
@ericgregory30053 жыл бұрын
Thats a block heater that caught on fire so it's been in rough shape a while. Common sense would say 10 grand, with bidders these day it will go for 20. Fire and fiberglass and unknown problems, i'd pass it to the next sucker.

No doubt is a gorgeous boat, but depends on what will cost. But either way will be a great content as always.

I have been looking at this boat too!! lol
@gainerman3 жыл бұрын
Some people came close , so I'll keep it simple . Did the heater catch fire before or after the big Texas freeze ? Did whatever water that was almost surely dumped on that thing ,to put out the blaze , did it get inside the engine ? (Didn't wait for the dipstick pull) And around here (non salt water texas) those boats are always on a lift.

Hey man I’ve been looking at this Super air nautique g23in gray. I think it’s at the place, you looked at that boat. if you have some extra time and could possibly go make a quick video about it. About damage and what so ever. I live in Canada so I can come over there right at the moment and it would me a lot to me if you could have a quick look and get back to me. Or make a quick video of it because you inspired me to take on a boat project like that.

Damn I was just looking at that one on the auction sites the other night. For my super boat build.

The boat looks good. Get it if the price ir right.
@shadowstorm_24963 жыл бұрын
Aside from it just being tossed onto the ground, it looks like it’s in a lot better condition then the nautique was when you first got it.
@Garage.Philosophy3 жыл бұрын
Soot damage is nasty it does not come off basically anything stained with that soot will have to be replaced
@shadowstorm_24963 жыл бұрын
@@Garage.Philosophy I’m not saying there is no damage but have u seen the damage the nautique had? This boat got nothin compared to the nautique
@mrnotnomis3 жыл бұрын
As of this moment, it looks like the bidding is up to $22,100 and the reserve isn't met yet. I hope there it can be salvaged because I don't see a way to recoup that from parts alone.
@sebastiandobbert74993 жыл бұрын
Could cry as i see the 07 VTX. So much parts i could use on my 07 VTX.😭. Don't find the mirrorarm with mount for IX Tower and there is one.😢
@thejourneymen77223 жыл бұрын
Seems to me like a lot of smoke damage for a boat that was on the water are you sure this boat wasn’t in storage when it caught a fire.
@maurizioizzo37683 жыл бұрын
Alright, I guess maybe 10K to 12k could be affordable. There could be something wrong with the electric compartment and the engine. Moreover, the ECU looks good but maybe wiring could be compromised. Body work could be a snap, but the rudder is bent, shaft and propeller probably to be replaced or checked carefully. The fins probably bent and/or broken... All the seats must be replaced, the smell is not going away that easy. Let me know if this can help you to have your chance! Greetings from Italy!

Looks like a heater not designed for boats was hooked up probably during that crazy Texas freeze.
@RebuilderGuy3 жыл бұрын
Definitely a possibility
@matthaywood79423 жыл бұрын
@John My bet’s that it is a dehumidifier. There must’ve also been a cover on the boat and that’s why there is smoke damage even on the front seats
@mshadster3 жыл бұрын
Looks more like a heater that caught fire. probably didn't winterize the boat and with the hard freeze in Texas last winter they put a heater next to the engine to keep it from freezing
@hot4teach23 жыл бұрын
That melted hose you were looking at is from the ballast, not engine cooling.

20k if you are willing to put another 20-30 in it. Then it’s worth about 50-60k IMO. The bottom looks scary shame they just threw it on the ground.

That’s 100% a space heater. Why they would put that in the boat, I have no clue.
@johnc.91333 жыл бұрын
Most likely to keep the engine from cracking during the freak winter storm texas has last winter.
@000000055473 жыл бұрын
Yeah it looks like they put a space heater in an ENGINE BAY to keep the engine warm I guess during the winter? That owner should be charged for terrorism that is one of the most braindead things I've ever seen. Thank god the fire didn't compromise the fuel line, otherwise it would have literally been a bomb.

Not worth the investment!?
@joshlipe64283 жыл бұрын
The people who are bidding on this are going to make money their on parts. Malibu only sells their parts through their dealer channel, so they are SUPER expensive. The problem that you are going to have with this is build, is how much those parts are going to cost you. Between the parts for your engine harness, prop/shaft, windshield, hard ballast tanks, tracking fins, sun deck, etc. you are looking at thousands of dollars. The wild card will be the fiberglass repair, electrical and vinyl. If those things are superficial there could be money to be made, in this market you can probably get 90k. Would be an awesome build, but the labor is going to be intense. I have a similar Malibu boat, so it would definitely be fun to watch. Worst case scenario you get into it and have to part it out. I say go for it if you can get it for less than 40k!

I dont think the expensive Crane is the only option here. Just go get 4-5 boys with handy jacks. Put some bricks with something soft on top and start lifting from the other side. Start lifting and stacking bricks untill this boat get over the ground. Same method for trailer to put the boat on.

@DanielGarcia-zz9eg3 жыл бұрын
I start at 5k and no more then 12k. Crane will probably cost $500 to $1200 just to lift it onto a trailer. Sad how they dump the boat. I'm thinking, was the boat haul off on a flat bed. Couldn't tow it back to its original trailer. Damn Thats why I would bid low due to how they handle it
@gtcharliep3 жыл бұрын
Didn't sell the first time around. Now bidding again with a 65k buy it now. lol

Parts only for the burn victim. Too much damage between the fire, dumping on the rocks & possibly cracked manifolds and or block from our deep freeze. Plus your crane rental, which is not cheap
@23aviatorguy3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know much about boats but I would not bid over 10k for it. The engine would be my main concern
@andyr35093 жыл бұрын
My guess would be anywhere from 18k to 25k and you've got a winner but I wouldn't pay more than 30k tbh.
@checkklikklikker58523 жыл бұрын
it is doable to fix it. I would pay less than $1000 for it. I would go for the other boat, i like it a lot more and it is also doable to repair
@rc-xdinbound65163 жыл бұрын
I'd like to see this boat in your channel but I think that you shouldn't go above 20k. You can find the same boat in a good condition with 50k. The damage is a lot but I think it is worth it. The money is yours, none of us should tell you how to use it. (I am not very good at English I hope everyone understands me😂😂)
