why don't the unlimited boats run turbine engines?

I know This is a late response but they used to run turbines but it’s too much money for a lot of teams so they usually don’t use them.

They can not run turbines, because they would intake too much water and stall.

Ronald Steele They used too though. Remember Aquamania Miss GEICO and miss mary mac they used turbines. But that was alittle bit ago. However i never saw them stall..
